Northrop Grumman is currently seeking highly skilled Mixed Signal Electronics Engineer 3 or 4 for tactical missile systems development and production programs at Advanced Weapons in Northridge, CA. In this role, you will design, develop, and test advanced mixed-signal electronic systems circuit card assemblies for tactical missile platforms. You will work in a dynamic, multidisciplinary team environment and contribute to high-priority defense technologies requiring innovative solutions and strict adherence to quality and safety standards.
This position is required to be full-time, on-site in the Northridge, CA location. No remote/telework arrangement is available for this position. Applicants must have an active US Government DoD Secret security clearance with ability to get cleared for SAP.

Primary Level Salary Range: $125,300.00 - $187,900.00
Secondary Level Salary Range: $156,400.00 - $234,600.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with systems, hardware, and software teams to develop and integrate mixed-signal (both analog and digital components) circuit card assemblies for tactical missile systems
- Design and implement power budget analyses, electrical schematics, and safety-critical system grounding schemes
- Lead the development, testing, and validation of prototypes using verification and validation (V&V) methodologies
- Conduct system-level testing and troubleshoot issues to ensure design reliability and maintainability
- Prepare and maintain detailed documentation, design reviews, and test plans throughout the product lifecycle
- Oversee the transition from prototype development to production, ensuring compliance with MIL-STD and industry best practices
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement in design and development processes
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies and best practices related to mixed-signal design and tactical missile systems.
Basic Qualifications for Mixed-Signal Electronics Engineer 3:
- BS degree in an engineering discipline; preferably in an Electrical/Electronic Engineering field with 5+ years of relative experience, or an MS degree and 3 years
- Experience in mixed signal CCA's (Circuit Card Assemblies) product design, development and system level integration.
- Experience in design of digital circuits with large scale FPGA/SoC's and high-speed interfaces.
- Experience with verification and validation (V&V) testing as well as system-level testing.
- Strong knowledge in developing, coordinating and conducting power budget analysis, electrical system schematics, safety critical system and grounding scheme per the provided requirements for existing and new development efforts
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to systematically work though de-bugging process while maintaining proper documentation.
- Active US Government Secret security clearance with ability to be cleared for SAP
Basic Qualifications for a Mixed-Signal Electronics Engineer 4:
- BS degree in an engineering discipline; preferably in an Electrical/Electronic Engineering field with 8+ years of relative experience, or an MS degree and 6 years
- Experience in mixed signal CCA's (Circuit Card Assemblies) product design, development and system level integration
- Develops, coordinates and conducts power budget analysis, electrical system schematic, safety critical system and grounding scheme per provided requirements for existing and new development efforts
- Design of Digital circuits with large scale FPGA/SoC's and high-speed interfaces
- Conduct verification and validation (V&V) testing as well as Conduct system-level testing
- Must have strong troubleshooting skills and ability to systematically work though de-bugging process while maintaining proper documentation
- Secret Clearance adjudicated within the last 5 years
Preferred Qualifications for both Mixed-Signal Electronics Engineer 3 or 4:
- Familiar with PWB (Printed Wiring Borad) design rules and techniques for CCA's with >20 layers count from initial prototype to production. Knowledge of EDA tools package such as Mentor Graphics or equivalent
- Experience with MIL-STD compliant designs that meet reliability and maintainability requirements
- Ability to own and drive design reviews throughout development process. Collaborate with systems engineers, software engineers, and hardware engineers in planning design and development of systems to ensure software and hardware performance and compatibility
- Develop detailed test plan for prototypes and assist in transition to production. Experience in setting up test benches and equipment as needed to perform validation testing.
