Job Description
As an IT Certified Professional - Intermediate, you will oversee complex programs that drive impactful mission outcomes for our customers. Your work will be significant, providing second-tier support to end-users for PC, server, mainframe applications, and hardware. You will handle moderately complex tasks related to network monitoring, operations, installation, or maintenance, and will be responsible for resolving routine network problems. You will also simulate or recreate user problems to resolve operating difficulties and recommend systems modifications to reduce user issues. Your role will include maintaining a high level of technical skill in your field of expertise and escalating more complex problems to senior levels.
Requirements
Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science degree.
5+ years of related experience.
IAT II 8570/8140 Baseline Certification Security+ or equivalent.
Current working knowledge of computers, printers, laptops, and common Windows applications.
Comprehensive knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in computer troubleshooting and support.
Comprehensive knowledge of desktop operating systems and applications.
US citizenship required.
Security clearance level: TS SCI.
Responsibilities
Provide second-tier support to end-users for PC, server, mainframe applications, and hardware.
Handle routine network activities and identify and resolve routine network problems.
Interact with network services, software systems engineering, and/or applications development to restore service and/or identify and correct core problems.
Simulate or recreate user problems to resolve operating difficulties.
Recommend systems modifications to reduce user problems.
Maintain currency and high level of technical skill in field of expertise.
Provide first contact and incident resolution to customers with hardware, software, and application problems.
Perform systems administration of desktop systems connected to local and wide area networks.
Monitor systems/networks in real time and initiate fix actions or problem escalation.
Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems.
Manage IT system infrastructure and processes related to these systems.
Document incident status and solutions in incident database tools.
