Description:Lockheed Martin Space is seeking an experienced manufacturing leader to serve as Deputy Production Senior Manager for the CPS/LHRW program. Reporting to the Assembly Integration and Test, Senior Manager, duties will include:
• Direct oversight over the manufacturing Engineering and VIT (vehicle integration team) teams
• Direct interface to the Program Flight Systems senior leadership reporting constraints and execution for AI&T.
• Ensure Production team is staffed, ready, and executing on cost and schedule for Work Instructions, Test Procedures, Vehicle build up, Test execution and Ground Support Equipment.
• Establish personnel, equipment, and facility resources needed for execution.
• Drive the execution of the day to day operations of build/test activities, establishing functional and technical specifications and standards, training, scheduling, supervision, and performance evaluation of assigned employees.
• Institutionalize disciplined execution of standard processes and ensuring best practices are communicated and utilized
• Drive affordability and commonality initiatives which will reduce test cycle time, generate program reserve, and assure future program awards, including adoption of enterprise-wide manufacturing practices
• Lead next level down leaders in driving overall Operations, Production Control, and Ground Support Equipment build and usage
• Communicate with and brief senior-level program and customer management
• Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor degree in an Aerospace Engineering, or closely related field; technical discipline from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education.
• Breadth of knowledge and work experience implementing Production Operations standard methodologies and lessons learned
• Experience with maintaining process discipline in a dynamic and fast paced environment, including the ability to balance various risks across the system to maintain cost within a fixed schedule environment
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance
Desired Skills:
• Recognized as an authority in systems thinking techniques with the demonstrated ability to apply them to a wide range of complex problems and train others in their application
• Experience in a high mix, high volume manufacturing environment, preferably aerospace/defense.
• 10+ years of applicable technical experience with 5+ years' experience within production
• Ability to lead multi-functional teams and lead multiple teams to communicate and coordinate work as one team with common goals
• Excellent reasoning, judgment, and professional behavior
• Strong, demonstrated leadership and the ability to work with personnel from diverse backgrounds and disciplines both internal and external to the organization
• Trained in or experience in Control Account Management (CAM).
• Strong communication and Full Spectrum Leadership skills
• Green Belt Certified

These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
