Description:Classified IT Operations is seeking a Network Engineer with expertise in maintaining complex networks in a high paced, high energy environment. The selected candidate will participate in all aspects of network setup and management including requirements, design, implementation, integration, installation, and test.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform diagnostics and troubleshoot network issues
• Responsible for design, installation, configuration, and maintenance of Secure Communications LAN, WAN and voice systems
• Perform network monitoring and provide notifications of issues on a daily basis
• Determine root cause of network issues and recommend strategies to prevent recurrences
***This is a full-time onsite role in our King of Prussia facility, working a 9x80 schedule (every other Friday off)Must have the ability to obtain and maintain the necessary clearance.***
Basic Qualifications:
• Must have TS/SCI Clearance with a completed polygraph (U.S. Citizen)
• Must have or be able to obtain a Security+ certification or higher or 8572 qualified certificate within first 60 days of employment
• Solid knowledge of general networking principles demonstrated in the design, installation, configuration, and maintenance of Secure Communications LAN, WAN and voice systems
• Significant experience with Routers, switches, and firewalls
• Experience performing diagnostics and troubleshooting network issues
• Experience with network monitoring and providing notifications of issues on a daily basis
• Proven expertise determining root cause of network issues and recommendation of strategies to prevent recurrences
Desired Skills:
• Demonstrated experience with design and architecture of LAN, WAN, and voice systems
• Experience with cryptographic equipment (e.g. KG-175 encryptors)
• Prior project management/project lead experience
• Prior experience performing Layer 1 cabling work
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
