Sev1Tech is seeking an Network Architect to support the Naval Information Warfare Center Atlantic (NIWC Atlantic) Expeditionary Enterprise Systems and Services (E2S2) Division. NIWC Atlantic provides design, acquisition, and sustainment services for Marine Corps Systems Command (MCSC) Information Technology (IT) systems.
In this role, the Network Architect will be responsible for the following:

In this role, the Network Architect will be responsible for the following:
- Interface with customers to collect and clarify requirements
- Manage network communications testing, installation, and support for the MAN/WAN system
- Mentor and provide guidance to other networking team members
- Identify and diagnose problems affecting network performance using software and hardware tools
- Provide recommendations to enhance and improve network performance
- Troubleshoot network infrastructure systems as needed
- Perform system engineering design, integration, and implementation tasks and activities, including coordination of personnel, hardware, software, budget, facilities, and/or equipment
- Interface with vendors when necessary during outages or periods of degraded system performance
- Evaluate, design, document, install, implement, test, perform problem isolation and resolution, monitor, tune, and set standards.
- Provides client consulting and training on the interfacing and use of the network facilities.
- Researches, evaluates, and recommends new computer network equipment and technologies.
- Utilizes monitoring, performance analysis, network management, software and hardware equipment to trouble shoot and isolate problems, gauge network performance, and trace data and protocol activity.
- Provides internal consulting, technical guidance, information and support to application developers, computer operations, company management and departmental clients. Assists in internal training programs.
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Provide for Tier IV escalation support of USMC's Enterprise Wide Area Network Infrastructure
- Configure Cisco network routers and switches for LAN/WAN connectivity
- Develop network designs and comprehensive site analysis
- Cisco Firewall design and configuration
- Root Cause Analysis support
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, investigate and resolve issues with network connectivity and latency
- Troubleshoot multiple MPLS networks in a highly secure environment
Minimum Qualifications
- Active Top Secret Level Clearance
- Bachelor's degree in electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or mamagerial related discipline (BS, BA, or Associate of Science (AS) shall be from an Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) accredited program) or High School Diploma or GED. Individual shall meet the latest Cybersecurity workforce certification/training in accordance with DoD 8570.1M and subsequent DoD 8140 manual, as applicable.
- Five (5) years with Bachelor's degree or seven (7) years with HS/GED of practical experience demonstrating competency in Cybersecurity, Engineering, Test & Evaluation (T&E) or Assessment & Authorization (A&A)/ Certification & Accreditation (C&A) related field. Individual shall demonstrate a working knowledge of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process and/or include prior experience with the Defense Information Assurance & Certification Accreditation Process (DIACAP). Individual shall have experience working with Information Assurance tools such as DISA Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service
(eMASS) or Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) and may be required to hold an Interim Security Control Assessor qualification. Individual shall be familiar with security policies & guidance documents to assist with the preparation and maintenance of process artifacts and traceability documents purposed for compliance with Authority to Operate (ATO) requirements. The specialist shall be capable of evaluating security solutions to ensure they meet security requirements for processing up to classified information, and supervise and/or maintain the operational security posture for an information system or program. Individual shall have experience assisting or developing system security policy and ensuring compliance of change management and configuration control processes. - Minimum of 10 years of network architect experience of WAN network, and concepts of a wide area network, designing LAN/WAN's and network engineering.
- Experience with Cisco routing/switching configuration and troubleshooting to the CCNP level, ASRs, Generation 2, and 1900-7600 routers, Cisco NGFWs, and F5 Load Balancers
- IP experience (to include subnetting)
- BGP experience
- EIGRP and OSPF routing
- Cisco DMVPN concepts
- SDWAN experience
- Virtual Routing and Forwarding (VRF)
- CCNP certification

Desired Qualifications
- Certifications: CCIE strongly preferred
- Experience with Marine Corps enterprise network design
- Experience with Marine Corps Cyberspace environment
- Experience with Navy & Marine Corps systems engineering processes
- Experience with DoD Enterprise Networks including DISA interconnects
- Adept in using troubleshooting and performance management tools such as Cisco Prime, Riverbed SteelCentral, NetScout, Gigamon, etc.
