Tyto Athene is seeking a skilled and experienced Data Mart / Computer Systems Administrator to join our dynamic IT team. This role is responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of our data mart environments, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database administration, with specific expertise in data mart concepts, and hands-on experience with AWS services, particularly AWS Glue for ETL processes. This position will play a crucial part in managing the data infrastructure that supports our business intelligence and analytics initiatives.

Responsibilities:
- Data Mart Administration: Design, build, and maintain data marts to meet business requirements. This includes creating and managing data models, schemas, and data pipelines to ensure the efficient flow of data from various sources into the data marts.
- ETL Development and Management: Develop, test, and deploy ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes using AWS Glue to populate data marts. Monitor and troubleshoot ETL jobs to ensure data accuracy and timely updates.
- System Administration: Administer and maintain the computer systems that host the data marts, including server setup, configuration, and performance tuning. Ensure system availability, security, and scalability. To include, understand and be an in-house administrator for AWS Glue, as needed
- Data Quality and Governance: Implement data quality checks and validation processes to ensure the integrity of the data within the data marts. Adhere to data governance policies and procedures.
- Collaboration and Support: Work closely with data analysts, business intelligence developers, and other stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide them with the necessary support and access to the data marts.
Qualifications
Required:
- 3+ years of experience in ETL tool administration, with a focus on data warehousing or data marts.
- Hands-on experience with AWS Glue for creating and managing ETL jobs.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with one or more database management systems (e.g., MS SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL).
- Solid understanding of data modeling concepts, including dimensional modeling and star schemas.
- In-depth knowledge of ETL principles and best practices.
- Experience with server administration, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.
- Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or Software Engineering
Desired:
- AWS Certified Data Analytics - Specialty or other relevant AWS certifications are a plus.
- Experience with other AWS services such as S3, Redshift, and Athena.
- Proficiency in a scripting language like Python or Bash for automation.
- Familiarity with business intelligence and data visualization tools (e.g., OAS/OBIEE, Tableau, Power BI).
Clearance:
- Public Trust/T3 preferred or ablility to obtain a DoD clearance.

Compensation:
- Compensation is unique to each candidate and relative to the skills and experience they bring to the position. The salary range for this position is typically between $150,000-$170,000. This does not guarantee a specific salary as compensation is based upon multiple factors such as education, experience, certifications, and other requirements, and may fall outside of the above-stated range.
