UNIT PROGRAM COORDINATOR

Duties

As a UNIT PROGRAM COORDINATOR (GS-0303-7) you will assists the lead CSS in managing daily administrative and unit-level support, executes assigned programs in line with the Personnel Services Delivery Guide (PSDG), and supports training of personnel to maintain mission readiness and compliance with Air Force policies.

• This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard, required prior to the effective date of placement.

• Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership and employment in the National Guard in the military grade listed in this announcement.
• Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
• Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation.
• May be required to successfully complete a two year trial period.
• Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance within one year of appointment.

• Ability to establish effective professional working relationships with coworkers and customers, contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission.
• May be required to travel by car, in military and/or commercial aircraft, and by other means of transportation as appropriate to perform temporary duty assignments.
• Irregular and/or overtime (compensatory) hours may be required to support operational requirements or contingencies or may be required to work hours outside of the normal duty day.
• The work may require the incumbent to drive a motor vehicle; if so, and an appropriate valid driver's license is mandatory.
• This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position
• Dual-status positions require military membership and adherence to professional development requirements, including training and certifications, to ensure readiness and compliance with National Guard standards.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE :
At least 1 year equivalent to at least next lower grade level supporting the administration of military personnel management programs including requesting personnel actions such as promotions, evaluations, awards, and leave. Providing customer service and guidance on organizational personnel policies and procedures.

This position is indefinite without the potential to convert to permanent. Employees hired under indefinite appointments may not exceed 5 years (consecutive) time with the agency. The applicant selected may be released at any time subject to a 30-day notice and advised of his/her rights and benefits to which entitled. If a permanent employee accepts this indefinite position, their tenure will change from permanent to indefinite.
