Job Title: Working Groups & Partner Engagement Lead / Technical Writer
Location: Arlington, VA
Overview: Mano Lani is seeking a junior-level contractor to provide meeting coordination, liaison, and documentation support to the National Guard Bureau (NGB) J5-J. This role ensures effective working group and partner engagement, accurate tracking of discussions and action items, and timely preparation of briefing materials and executive summaries. Key Responsibilities:
Meeting Preparation: Schedule and coordinate working group sessions; draft and distribute invitations; develop agendas and timelines in collaboration with Government personnel; maintain attendee lists
- Ensure all meeting invitations, agendas, and attendee lists are delivered at least three business days prior to meetings.
Briefing Materials: Gather topics from stakeholders, develop and distribute electronic read-ahead packets and briefing materials at least one business day prior to each meeting.
Meeting Execution & Reporting: Observe meetings, track issues, RFIs, tasks, and responsibilities; produce Executive Summaries within five business days summarizing discussions, actions, and after-action items.
Liaison & Partner Engagement: Establish and maintain communication with interagency partners (e.g., DHS, FEMA, CISA) and non-governmental partners (e.g., National Association of Counties, National Governors Association).
- Document engagements and deliver executive summaries within five business days.
NGB Awareness: Support J5-J situational awareness by coordinating meetings, reviews, and workshops; prepare pre-meeting packets, minutes, and summaries; deliver documentation within two business days of meetings.
Record Keeping: Maintain an up-to-date partner POC database and engagement log, ensuring all interactions are documented with minimal discrepancies.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
BA/BS degree in a relevant field
5-8 years of professional experience in meeting coordination, liaison, or operational support in a government or military environment
Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills
Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and synthesize information into actionable summaries
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, virtual collaboration tools, and database management
