Our DOD/Aerospace client is looking to fill an Advanced Shipping Associate position that just opened in Canonsburg, PA. In this role you'll perform a combination of manual and clerical shipping duties related to outbound shipments. To be considered, you must have at least a High School Diploma plus a minimum of 4 years of related shipping or logistics experience.

Position: Advanced Shipping Associate
Contract: 12 months or longer
Pay: $28.57/hour
Shift: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

This role supports shipping and logistics operations for mission?critical hardware, including classified materials, in a fast?paced manufacturing environment.

Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of 4 years of related shipping or logistics experience
- AA degree or relevant certification preferred, if applicable
- U.S. Citizenship required
Security Clearance Requirements
- Active DoD Secret clearance is required at time of hire
- Candidates will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation
- Must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
Work Location Requirement
- This position is 100% onsite in Canonsburg, PA
Key Responsibilities
- Process outgoing shipments including:
- Finished products
- Raw materials and stock
- Assemblies, parts, and equipment
- Building materials and supplies
- Prepare merchandise for shipment in accordance with shipping requirements
- Maintain accurate shipping records and documentation
- Verify invoices, bills of lading, and shipping paperwork
- Respond to inquiries related to shipment tracking and freight costs
- File freight claims for lost or damaged materials
- Support shipping activities involving classified materials in compliance with security procedures
Required Knowledge and Skills
- Ability to operate material handling equipment, including:
- Forklifts
- Sky track equipment
- Cranes
- Strong understanding of shipping processes and their practical application
- Working knowledge of shipping activities, including classified material handling
- Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Excel
