Koniag Management Solutions, LLC a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Quality Assurance/Tester to support KMS and our government customer. This position requires the candidate to be able to obtain a Public Trust. This position is remote. This position is for a Future New Business Opportunity.

KMS is seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance/Tester to ensure the quality, functionality, and reliability of our Salesforce platform through comprehensive testing strategies and quality assurance practices. This role is responsible for designing and executing test plans, automating test cases, identifying defects, and collaborating with development teams to deliver high-quality Salesforce solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of Salesforce, testing expertise, and a passion for quality assurance with experience in both manual and automated testing methodologies.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for Salesforce applications
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT) across Salesforce
  • Validate Salesforce configurations
  • Test Salesforce integrations with third-party systems
  • Identify, document, and track defects using Jira or similar bug tracking tool
  • Conduct performance and load testing to identify bottlenecks and optimize platform performance
  • Validate Salesforce platform upgrades, patches, and release deployments
  • Collaborate with developers to reproduce and troubleshoot defects
  • Create and maintain test data sets for various testing scenarios
  • Review requirements and technical specifications to ensure testability
  • Participate in requirement analysis and provide QA input during design phase
  • Perform smoke testing and sanity testing after deployment
  • Execute accessibility testing to ensure Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) compliance
  • Validate security configurations and access controls
  • Document test results, metrics, and quality reports for stakeholders
  • Participate in release planning and provide QA estimates
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and standards
  • Support change management activities related to Salesforce implementation & user adoption


Education and Experience Required:
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in software quality assurance and testing
  • At least 2-3 years of hands-on Salesforce testing experience
  • Proven experience with manual and automated testing methodologies
  • Practical experience creating and executing test cases and test plans
  • Experience with defect tracking and test management tools
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies


Required Skills and Competencies:
  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce functionality and architecture
  • Experience with various testing types (functional, regression, integration, UAT, smoke testing)
  • Knowledge of REST/SOAP API testing and tools (Postman, SoapUI, REST clients)
  • Familiarity with test management & defect tracking tools (ServiceNow, Jira, Zephyr, qTest, or similar)
  • Knowledge of SQL and database querying for data validation
  • Basic understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, XML, JSON)
  • Familiarity with reporting and analytics tools
  • Excellent documentation and technical writing abilities
  • Effective communication skills for reporting defects and collaborating with teams
  • Critical thinking skills to identify edge cases and potential issues
  • Team collaboration skills with developers and business analysts
  • Time management skills to meet release deadlines


Desired Skills and Competencies:
  • Experience with version control systems (Git, GitHub)
  • Familiarity with Agile testing tools (Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps)
  • Understanding of microservices and API architecture testing
  • Additional testing certifications (ISTQB Advanced, CSTE, CSQA)
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment testing
  • Agile/Scrum certifications (CSPO, PSM, A-CSPO)
  • Experience in test strategy development and QA process improvement
  • Background in business analysis or requirements gathering
  • Prior government consulting experience
