Work Environment:
- On-site in Herndon, VA in a classified environment. Minimal to no remote work authorized.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the Systems Engineering (SE) team in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment supporting government and contractor partners.
- Manage, develop, and coordinate program CDRLs through the program ERB cycle, ensuring timely delivery to the customer.
- Plan, organize, and complete systems engineering activities within assigned responsibility areas.
- Collaborate with the Chief Engineer and Chief Architect to define system architecture, develop CONOPS, and decompose system-level designs into requirements.
- Lead test and integration activities using Agile methodologies to satisfy acceptance criteria at all levels of the system.
- Conduct system analysis, interface definition, and system trade studies in coordination with CE and CA.
- Manage and execute enterprise and program-level integration and test events, ensuring all stakeholders are fully supported.
- Plan, define, and track test cases using Agile test management tools.
- Ensure consistency and traceability across requirements, test activities, and customer objectives.
- Develop and maintain Systems Engineering artifacts including requirements specifications, interface control documents (ICDs), system designs, and CONOPS.
- Lead test planning, test procedure development, test execution, and verification activities in an Agile environment.
- Provide accurate and detailed documentation of test results and engineering impacts.
Qualifications:
- Active TS/SCI clearance required; CI polygraph preferred or ability to obtain.
- Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of experience.
- Strong experience leading, organizing, and directing technical team efforts within a systems engineering environment.
- Hands-on experience with Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, Zephyr, or similar systems.
- Experience driving completion of Systems Engineering artifacts including requirements specifications, ICDs, system design documentation, CONOPS, and CDRLs.
- Proven background developing, planning, and executing system tests, including writing test plans, test procedures, and defining acceptance criteria.
- Ability to ensure consistency and traceability across system requirements, verification steps, and customer objectives.
Preferred:
- Experience supporting intelligence community programs or similar secure environments.
- Demonstrated ability to work closely with enterprise stakeholders and leadership teams.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present technical information clearly and effectively.
Compensation:
- Pay range: $150,000 - $190,000 (Based on years of relevant experience)
