Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop T&E strategies, test plans, safety releases, and data-collection requirements in accordance with Army and DoD test policies.
- Plan and coordinate flight tests, ground firings, environmental tests, seeker characterization events, and system-level integration activities for the Javelin missile and Command Launch Unit (CLU).
- Execute test events at government ranges, ensuring compliance with safety, technical, and operational requirements.
- Analyze telemetry data, seeker performance, missile flight dynamics, warhead effects, and system interface behavior to evaluate requirement compliance and system effectiveness.
- Support hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) testing and digital simulations for risk reduction and design validation.
- Collaborate with test centers, platform program offices, engineers, logisticians, quality teams, and industry partners to ensure test readiness and successful execution.
- Participate in failure investigations, root-cause analyses, and corrective action processes for anomalies identified during testing.
- Prepare technical documentation, including reports, briefings, and milestone review materials for program leadership and stakeholders.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of related technical experience
- Bachelor's degree in aerospace, mechanical, electrical, systems engineering or related technical field.
- Ability to obtain and/or maintain a DoD secret clearance
- Experience with Test & Evaluation (T&E)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting Javelin weapons testing, missile flight tests, or system-level verification activities.
- Proficiency with data analysis tools such as MATLAB, Python, telemetry visualization systems, or equivalent.
- Understanding of infrared seekers, guidance and control fundamentals, missile subsystems, or soldier-launched weapon systems preferred.
- Familiarity with Army developmental/operational test processes and T&E planning frameworks.
- Strong communication and coordination skills for working with cross-functional technical and test teams.
