About The Role
The Hybrid Architecture and Development for Experimental Systems (HADES) program is an exciting and cutting-edge initiative led by the U.S. Space Force, offering a unique opportunity to work on the forefront of space operations and technology. HADES focuses on the development, integration, and sustainment of prototype and operational satellite ground systems, satellite operations centers (SOCs), and critical support services. This program plays a vital role in supporting the Research and Development Space and Missile Operations (RDSMO) Ground System Enterprise (GSE) and is headquartered at the Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation (RDT&E) Support Complex (RSC) at Kirtland Air Force Base in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
As the Program Manager, you'll manage and contribute to accelerating mission design, ground integration, launch and on-orbit operations, and the rapid deployment of low-cost, reliable access to space in direct support of the warfighter. This is a high-tempo, mission-critical environment where your work will have a tangible impact on national security and the future of space operations. You'll manage a team of professionals involved in a wide range of activities, including engineering, risk management, cybersecurity, configuration management, and lifecycle sustainment, all while ensuring interoperability with government and commercial systems.

Details
Target Salary Range: $135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day operations and ensure full mission readiness.
- Manage and safeguard Government Furnished Property (GFP).
- Ensure compliance with the contract requirements, including deliverables, reporting, and performance metrics.
- Lead the transition phase during the designated 90-day phase-in period, ensuring maximum cooperation between the incumbent and successor teams.
Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is required.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as: Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration or Program/Project Management.
- 12 year's experience in program or project management, preferably in the defense, aerospace, or satellite ground systems domain.
- Demonstrated experience managing large, complex contracts, including Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contracts and task orders.
- Familiarity with satellite ground systems, satellite operations centers (SOCs), and related engineering, development, integration, and sustainment activities.
- Experience with Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation (RDT&E) environments is preferred.
- Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, cybersecurity personnel, and logistics staff.
- Strong understanding of satellite ground systems, cybersecurity, and system integration.
- Familiarity with DoD and U.S. Air Force policies, including compliance with AFI 33-119 and AFI 33-202V1.
- Expertise in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks as part of a formal risk management program.
- Experience managing budgets, labor costs, and other direct costs, including travel and training.
PREFERRED:
- Master's degree in a related field
- Certifications in Agile methodologies (e.g., Certified Scrum Master (CSM), SAFe Agilist).
- ITIL v4
- DAWIA (Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act) certification in Program Management is a plus.
- Experience supporting the United States Space Force (USSF) Space Systems Command (SSC)
