The Space Planner / Space Auditor participates in all phases of the space planning process across a variety of projects. This role provides coordination support between end users, Designers, Project Managers (PMs), Quality Assurance (QA), Furniture teams, and Directorate representatives.
The position is responsible for assembling and analyzing building usage data to support planning and compliance efforts, preparing recommendations related to goals and objectives, contributing to planning and compliance documentation, and facilitating internal and stakeholder meetings.
This individual will also conduct space audits to ensure proper utilization, accurate occupancy tracking, and correct personnel bed-downs.

Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and coordinate customer space requirements
- Perform field measurements and resolve spatial orientation issues within assigned areas
- Design and develop space layouts using AutoCAD and Revit
- Read and interpret blueprints and floor plans
- Coordinate customer and agency projects from cradle to grave in collaboration with engineers, designers, PMs, and QA personnel
- Assist government personnel in identifying and resolving immediate and future space and occupancy planning needs
- Prepare recommendations regarding project goals, objectives, and planning alternatives
- Contribute to planning and compliance documentation
- Facilitate internal, public, and stakeholder meetings and workshops
- Communicate effectively (written and verbal) with Senior Leadership
- Pull utilization reports (capacity, occupancy, vacancy) using the ARCHIBUS database
- Assist other Space Planners in identifying gaps in 1450/1450-1 accountable spaces
- Perform space audits at facilities worldwide as required (anticipated bi-monthly/quarterly travel, including overseas, with increased frequency as needed)
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize in alignment with leadership expectations
Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit
- Experience with ARCHIBUS Computer Aided Facility Management (CAFM)
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and floor plans
- Strong knowledge of space management, strategic space planning, occupancy planning, and facilities planning
- Experience generating utilization reports (capacity, occupancy, vacancy)
- Strong customer service and stakeholder coordination skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including communication with Senior Leadership
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and Adobe
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and assignments simultaneously
