Job Description:

Mission Essential is seeking a highly skilled Knowledge Management / Microsoft Specialist to support operations in Wiesbaden, Germany. This role requires a professional who thrives in database development, automation, and advanced analytics, with deep expertise in Microsoft technologies including Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, and SharePoint. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical proficiency, a proactive mindset, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for senior leaders. This position plays a critical role in ensuring continuity, improving knowledge management practices, and supporting current and future U.S. Government operational requirements.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Design, develop, and implement extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes to integrate data from disparate sources (Army databases, external data feeds, SharePoint lists, etc.)
• Develop and maintain data quality standards and procedures. Including identifying, investigating, and resolving data anomalies, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and validity. Implement automated data quality checks within ETL pipelines
• Contribute to the design and maintenance of data models to support analytical requirements
• Provide subject matter expertise in data extraction from Maven or equivalent, to include understanding data structures, APIs, and limitations
• Design and maintain SharePoint lists and libraries as data sources, ensuring data integrity and accessibility. Develop workflows to automate data entry and validation withing SharePoint
• Develop complex dashboards and reports using PowerBI and Power Apps to visualize key performance indicators and trends
• Apply statistical modeling techniques to identify patterns and support decision-making
• Work directly with stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate those needs into actionable analytical solutions
• Respond to urgent requests for data analysis and reporting, providing timely and accurate insights to support current operations or decision-making
• Develop and maintain KM tools (SharePoint, Power Apps, Power BI, Maven Smart System etc.)
• Develop or improve KM policy and procedures
• Provide training and consultation on the use of KM tools and on policy/procedures
• Conduct periodic reviews of organizational KM practices and provide written assessments to leadership
• Develop and maintain KM database and records
• Develop reports, information papers, or other staff products, as assigned
• Prepare and/or deliver briefings to leadership

REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Qualifications:

• Master's degree in a related field and three (3) years of recent specialized experience; OR Bachelor's degree in a related field and six (6) years of recent specialized experience; OR ten (10) years of recent specialized experience
• Minimum of three (3) years' experience in data analysis as well as effective communication, organizational administration, knowledge management tools and practices (creating, storing, and sharing knowledge), and process development or refinement.
• Must have Secret Clearance

Desired Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience in database development, data analytics, and automation
• Advanced proficiency with Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, and SharePoint
• Experience developing and maintaining ETL pipelines and data models
• Strong understanding of data quality management and governance
• Experience supporting or working within DoD or USG environments preferred
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to brief senior leadership and produce written products
