Open Source Research Specialist (Protective Ops Support)
Support protective operations by identifying publicly available information that could impact safety and mission success. You’ll use Boolean searches, automated tools, and strong research skills to monitor social media, news, forums, and other open sources then quickly deliver clear, concise reporting.
What you’ll do
Conduct open-source research to surface risks, threats, or emerging concerns.
Use Boolean logic and research tools to find, validate, and summarize key details fast.
Work independently on tasking and collaborate with analysts as priorities shift.
Communicate findings clearly in short written updates and verbal briefs.
Learn program SOPs/legal authorities and improve skills in social media landscape and threat assessment.
Partner with automation/BA teams to identify processes that can be automated and help document requirements.
Minimum qualifications
