The Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) Program is underway on a generational opportunity to develop and deploy the D5 Life Extension 2 (D5LE2) Missile which will sustain our Submarine Launched Ballistic Missile (SLBM) fleet for decades to come.
This is a unique opportunity to work alongside our Navy Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) partners to shape the future of our nation's strategic deterrent as part of the nuclear triad.

The D5LE2 Systems Integration Manager will provide technical leadership and management of systems engineering and integration personnel across all functional areas of the flight missile system. You will lead the team that ensures the requirements are translated into reliable, certificated hardware and software solutions, drive comprehensive integration, and deliver clear, executive level communication to senior leadership and Navy partners.
In this role you will:
• Manage and direct Systems Engineering and Integration personnel at the system level across key functional and technical areas.
• Establish and drive integration efforts to support system architecture, CONOPS, and technical baselines; oversee and perform system trades and analyses.
• Ensure the logical and detailed product requirements provide a complete, balanced system solution.
• Manage and direct relationships between system engineers and subsystem engineers across Product Directorates, including Propulsion, Structures, Ordnance, Controls, and Avionics.
• Oversee all missile system performance and integration activities, including component-, element-, and system-level testing.
• Ensure integration activities culminate to support in final system certification
• Drive integration readiness and verification planning across all lifecycle phases.
• Work collaboratively with the program and functional senior leadership to manage staffing requirements and plan job assignments / rotations to sustain engineering capabilities and critical skills
Basic Qualifications:
• Experience in missile, spacecraft or satellite design, integration, test and/or operations or product development
• Leadership in driving technical issues/challenges to closure
• Ability to obtain a Top Secret security clearance
• Demonstrated leadership skills and whole systems thinking
Desired Skills:
• Bachelors degree in Engineering, Physics or related discipline, or equivalent experience
• Previous missile experience
• Missile System or Missile Subsystem integration experience
• Missile or space segment design and test experience with one or more subsystems or fields outside of Systems Engineering
• Strong technical initiative
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong social skills, and ability to build consensus among peers while building solid relationships with team members, leadership, and customers
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, synergetic team environment
• Active TS security clearance

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $128,400 - $226,435. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
