Description:Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a Manufacturing Support Team Member to join our team in Courtland, AL! This team produces the next generation missiles, harnesses and chassis for Targets, Hypersonic and Mars vehicles. In this role, you will support the Thermal Protection System Application, electro/mech structure assembly, integration and test (AI&T) operations. This position could require some travel and support to other manufacturing operations. Responsibilities include, but not limited to leading the supporting the technical team daily to meet engineering requirements, updating and verifying manufacturing documents, and providing production status to leadership. The successful candidate will have experience writing detailed manufacturing work instructions, technical publications or SOPs.
Other responsibilities will include:
• Assist in leading and adhering to safety, quality, cost, schedule, technical and programmatic requirements and performance expectations.
• Providing shop floor support, maintaining manufacturing plans, tooling requirements, engineering change implementation and coordinating changes in the build process within an electrical/mechanical manufacturing facility.
• Support the day-to-day Missile Assembly Integration and Test areas of Manufacturing.
• Improving procedures and operations for the fabrication of tools and equipment and other functions that affect product performance.
• Incorporating inspection and test requirements into the production plan.
• Role will require infrequent communication with inter-organizational and outside customer contacts on routine matters and will provide solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity.
• Travel to other sites as needed to support manufacturing.
Basic Qualifications:
Ability to obtain a secret clearance
Demonstrated proficiency reading,
understanding, and writing work instructions for manufacturing processes.
Experienced with the concepts of quality management systems.
Strong listening, reading and writing skills.
Proficiency with PC, keyboarding, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Desired Skills:
Proficient with SAP data entry and reporting.
Demonstrated ability to complete organizational
projects and goals by performing tasks requiring discretion and general knowledge and ability.
Demonstrated general knowledge and
application of industry practices, techniques, and standards.
Ability to communicate clearly with internal and external contacts. Represents organization on specific projects, teams.
Experience working with and/or writing technical documents
Experience supporting a production line
Develops solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Refers to
policies and practices for guidance.
Working knowledge of Ve-CAMs, Apriso, SAP, and/or MPM Link
