Description:Prepare Domestic and International shipping documentation. Route freight using standard routings, arranging transportation as required, accomplishing bills of lading and other required shipping documentation. In addition to these requirements, the candidate must establish standard routings for shipments not dictated by contract negotiations or government or consignee direction: Route and classify freight in accordance with National Motor Freight Classification guidelines. Arrange for specialized transport requirements e.g. classified, hazardous materials, over-dimensional items or any other shipments where standard routings do not apply. Provide routing directions to vendors for inbound freight collect shipments when on-line routing guide does not specify a carrier. Assist in training other represented employees when required.
Basic Qualifications:
Experience with Global Logistics/Traffic Office.
Experience with routing of freight Domestically and Internationally.
Experience with completion of Bill of Lading knowledge.
Desired Skills:
SAP experience
Microsoft Office Skills (Word, Excel), Knowledge of specialized transport requirements e.g. hazardous, explosives, government routed shipments, over dimensional, classified shipments.
Working knowledge of Freight claims and National Freight Classifications (MNFC) Regulations.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
