The VP of Mission Engagement serves as the front door to the mission and the customer, accountable for identifying and "making" new opportunities through disciplined pipeline development, customer engagement, and shaping. Success in this role is measured by customer satisfaction, quality of pipeline, and contract wins.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead a team of senior, customer-facing growth leaders responsible for pipeline development, opportunity identification, and shaping.
  • Develop deep understanding of customer missions, priorities, timelines, constraints, and acquisition strategies.
  • Identify, prioritize, and shape high-quality, mission-aligned opportunities with clear paths to win.
  • Drive early positioning, customer sponsorship, and requirement influence to improve probability of win.
  • Own who (customers), when (timing of engagements and investments), and why (alignment to strategy, customer needs and win probability).
  • Partner closely with the VP of Mission Engineering to transition shaped opportunities into qualified, winnable, mission-grounded pursuits.
  • Impose rigor, prioritization, and accountability across customer engagement, ensuring activity translates directly into qualified pipeline and awards.
  • Lead executive engagement and shaping for multiple large, strategic pursuits ($100M+).
  • Identify and qualify contracts with new and adjacent customers, and new and adjacent programs and mission needs.
  • Act as a visible ambassador for Parsons in mission and industry forums to strengthen credibility, trust, and customer satisfaction.
