Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Cloud DevOps and Platform Engineer to support our client in Boulder, CO. The Cloud DevOps and Platform Engineer will develop, automate, and maintain Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) cloud deployments, working closely with internal and external platform consumers to guide architecture, implement enhancements, and ensure secure, reliable cloud environments.
Responsibilities of the Cloud DevOps and Platform Engineer include:
· Develop automation to build and maintain PaaS deployments
· Configure and deploy cloud infrastructure across IAM, networking, security, logging, and monitoring layers
· Plan and implement major platform updates and enhancements in collaboration with engineering teams
· Support architecture guidance, data migration, troubleshooting, and operational monitoring for PaaS solutions
· Create pipelines, Ansible playbooks, and Terraform configurations to automate cloud administration tasks
· Maintain production - grade applications in virtualized and cloud environments through automation and best practices
Qualifications for the Cloud DevOps and Platform Engineer include:
· Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or a related STEM field; Master's degree acceptable in lieu of experience
· 1+ year of experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, or platform engineering (Agile experience preferred)
· Experience with AWS, Azure, private cloud, or mixed cloud environments
· Hands - on experience with Docker or Kubernetes, and CI/CD tools such as GitLab, Jenkins, Puppet, or Chef
· Experience developing automation using Ansible, Terraform, or similar IaC tools
· Must have an active Department of Defense Secret clearance
Compensation for the Cloud DevOps and Platform Engineer includes:
· Salary Range: $90,000-$95,000 depending on experience
