Job Description
Automation Engineer is responsible for developing automation frameworks, ansible playbooks and roles to configure VMware ESX
and ESXi virtual/cloud and other virtualization hypervisor environments, application deployment, intra-service orchestration, and
many other IT needs. Troubleshoot and resolve issues in our dev, test, and production environments. Administer Ansible
infrastructure, perform maintenance and configuration and provide SME level support. Update system and process documentation
and user guides as needed diagrams and SOPs as needed. Work collaboratively with the engineering team to create and deploy
Ansible solutions for a distributed data center infrastructure environment. Support automation of business processes and software
deployment/configuration through a variety of frameworks, development languages and tools (python/ java script /bash, etc.).
Support corporate and government initiatives to introduce AI solutions for cyber range applications.
Required
• Experience in creating and deploying virtual environment using ansible frameworks and playbooks.
• Python scripting, YAML development and ansible automations
• DevOps/pipeline automation experience
• Experience managing configuration, build and deployments for enterprise software solutions.
• Windows and Linux vulnerability management
• Experience using applications such as: Jira, GitHub and with patching and vulnerability remediation
• Experience supporting network operations and cyber event execution for DoD or commercial programs.
• Excellent knowledge of WinRM, SSH and Linux technologies
• Comprehensive understanding of networking, virtualization, enterprise level IT systems engineering
• Cybersecurity, RMF and enterprise IT accreditation knowledge a plus
• Dell, NetApp and Cisco Infrastructure familiarity
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Current or previous government contract experience. Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, team-oriented environment
• A self-motivated, proactive, result-oriented individual. Able to manage multiple competing priorities effectively
• Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent years of experience in lieu of degree
• Preferred location near Huntsville, AL
• US Citizen/US Resident required. Ability to obtain security clearance is required. Existing Top Secret clearance a plus.
