Software Engineer - Python, Automation & DevOps
This position involves supporting advanced cybersecurity infrastructure and tooling systems and working with the team to design, develop, and deploy automation solutions for defense and intelligence operational requirements. You will collaborate with a diverse team of security analysts and operators to ensure your solutions are effective in real-world cyber operations scenarios. Responsibilities
Develop and maintain Python-based automation scripts and tooling for mission-critical cybersecurity workflows. Build CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code solutions for secure environments. Create monitoring, alerting, and self-healing automation systems for security infrastructure. Automate deployment, configuration, and maintenance of complex cyber operations environments. Collaborate with analysts to translate cyber operational requirements into working software solutions. Required Skills
Extensive experience developing in Python for automation and scripting. Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions). Strong experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet). Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes). Development experience in a Linux environment. Experience with the Atlassian Suite (Jira/Confluence). Nice to Have
Experience with browser automation frameworks (Selenium, Playwright, Puppeteer). Knowledge of web scraping and data extraction techniques (BeautifulSoup, Scrapy). Experience with secrets management and security automation. Familiarity with network automation and API integrations. Experience deploying automation in secure/air-gapped environments. Experience automating security tools or SOC workflows. Requirements
Experience Required: 12 years with Bachelor's degree in technical field, or 13 years without degree
