Responsibilities
As an All-Source Threat Analyst on this team, your essential job functions will be centered on providing expert intelligence analysis and direct M&S support:
- All-Source Intelligence & Data Collection:
- Research, analyze, and characterize current and future all-domain threats to Air Force operations by fusing multi-discipline intelligence (HUMINT, MASINT, SIGINT, GEOINT, OSINT, TECHINT).
- Work closely with analysts at the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC) and other Intelligence Community partners to gather all necessary information to iterate on model capabilities.
- Collaborate with the internal modeling team to determine, research, and collect the parametric datasets used to develop configuration files for our generic, parameterized model architecture.
- Develop comprehensive intelligence assessments, briefings, and reports that conform to Intelligence Community analytic standards.
- Threat-Focused Modeling & Simulation (M&S) Support:
- Spearhead research and implementation of various system tactics and behaviors to program a pilot behavior model for the control of various classes of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS).
- Perform light AFSIM scenario development to showcase and test the implemented tactics and behaviors, providing critical analytical inputs to our dedicated team of AFSIM modelers and developers.
- Utilize M&S environments to build mission vignettes that support operational analysis and identify U.S. capability gaps against assessed threats.
- Develop scripts and analytical tools using languages like Python or MATLAB for data reduction and post-processing of simulation results to verify model behavior.
- Technical Analysis & Collaboration:
- Serve as a subject matter expert on threat systems, providing technical information and analysis to recommend solutions for model development.
- Distill complex intelligence and technical topics into clear, concise products for stakeholders and the development team.
- Communicate technically complex material to a wide range of audiences and facilitate partnerships between end-users, requirement writers, and senior leaders.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience as an all-source intelligence analyst, with demonstrated ability to analyze threat information from multiple sources and disciplines.
- Technical Skills:
- Understanding of the AFSIM simulation framework or similar M&S environments.
- Strong understanding of aerospace system functions, dynamics, and how to model them.
- Expertise in intelligence tradecraft and analytic processes.
- Ability to create, test, and debug scripts or programs in languages such as Python or MATLAB.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a technical or analytic discipline such as Engineering, Computer Science, Intelligence Studies, Physics, or Mathematics.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to present intelligence findings and analytical reports to senior leaders.
Desired Qualifications:
- Education: Master's degree in a scientific, technical, or analytic discipline.
- Experience:
- Experience analyzing or modeling military tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) or system behaviors.
- Proven ability to perform high-fidelity operational system analysis to quantify system effectiveness and survivability.
- Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approaches or tools (e.g., Cameo, SysML).
- Skilled in the use of intelligence and analysis tools such as MATLAB, GALE, MIST, or equivalent tools.
- In-depth knowledge of various threat systems (air, ground, space) including advanced sensors, radar, and missiles.
Clearance Requirements
- Security Clearance: Must possess an active Top Secret clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
- Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.
