TEKsystems is seeking an experienced Private Cloud Deployment Engineer for a long term contract. This person will be traveling over 70% of the time, with remote work on the non-travel weeks.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Deployment Engineer will be responsible for the start-up and integration of proprietary and 3rd party products and services at classified data center environments. The ideal candidate will have a broad range of experience with industry-standard virtualization tools for compute, networking, and storage. The candidate must have an expert understanding of Linux, a strong background with virtualization, knowledge of data center networking, and knowledge of data center storage. Experience with start-up and integration tasks in a classified environment is required. The candidate should have experience building infrastructure including OS Image lifecycle, STIG processes, and troubleshooting and debugging issues.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Install, patch, and configure software and virtualization products on top of HPE hardware.
• Integrate identity and security across multi-vendor products.
• Plan for and execute adding new tools to the private cloud environment as needed for adding capabilities.
• Remediate security vulnerabilities.
REQUIREMENTS:
• This position requires an active DoD Clearance (Secret, Top Secret, Top Secret/SCI).
• Because an active or interim DoD clearance is required, U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Expert Linux skills
• Strong background and experience with VMware
• Strong knowledge of container platforms (Kubernetes)
• Working knowledge of networking
• Working knowledge of storage
• Experience with at least one public cloud provider preferred
Location: 70% Travel, 30% Remote (Any Location)
