Must be a US Citizen who currently possesses a DoD Secret Clearance (fully adjudicated). This is an onsite position. Local candidates only!

Statement of work:
The Contractor shall coordinate, consolidate, develop, and maintain environmental governance and programmatic documents (e.g., Department of the Air Force Instruction (DAFIs), policies, procedures); action plan(s) recommendations; task and inquiry responses; and issue resolution action plan(s) under AF/A4C program management oversight. Provide detailed updates to leadership and stakeholders by participating in meetings/forums and coordinating, consolidating, developing, and delivering/presenting associated meeting materials (e.g., slides, after action reports, minutes). Perform program analysis, support the planning, development, and sustainment of environmental programs, and collaborate across the DAF and with other DOW agencies in support of DAF program efforts and mission requirements. Follow new regulatory and policy development on Emerging Contaminants and collaborate with AF/A4C, SAF/IEE, AFIMSC, and stakeholders on developing and articulating appropriate positions and actions. Collaborate and coordinate with other organizations and support HAF to develop guidance for the field and oversee implementation.

Prepares slides, BBPs, or other documentation in support of working groups, congressional data calls, staffer day briefings, and environmental programs or issues. Assists with taskers in ETMS2.
Requires a minimum of 10 years in environmental policy and budgeting experience.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree (required) is in one of the following areas or in a related technical field:
Civil or Environmental Engineering
Environmental Policy
Environmental Science
Minimum of 10 years’ experience in environmental program management within the DoW (DAF preferred) and development of environmental programs, policies, guidance, regulations
10+ years’ experience in one or more of the following areas within a DoW office (in priority order):
Wildland Fire
POM Advocacy/Budget Development
Conservation Law Enforcement
Natural Resources
Cultural Resources
Operational Range Assessment
Recommended Qualifications:
Local to DMV
Experience with ETMS2
Congressional Experience
Pentagon/ “air staff” experience
10+ years of experience in one or more of the following areas:
Air Quality
Environmental Management Systems (EMS)
Overseas, spill reporting, tanks, integrated solid waste management (ISWM), stormwater management
Hazardous Material/Hazardous Waste
