Duties
Help
  • Reviews and analyzes policies in support of agency's Missions and Products, to determine gaps where additional guidance is needed.
  • Formulates and recommends additional policies or procedures as necessary, including providing briefs, oral and written as needed, to the agency's Missions and Products Directorates.
  • Maintains an up-to-date knowledge of changes to Federal and DoD policies and procedures as is relates to Data management that might affect the agency's Missions and Directorates.
  • Prepare and presents materials as necessary in response to complex and sensitive inquiries from within and outside the agency.

  • This national security position, which may require access to classified information, requires a favorable suitability review and security clearance as a condition of employment. Failure to maintain security eligibility may result in termination.
  • In accordance with the DoD 8140 policy series, the position is subject to completing Foundational Qualifications in 9 months and completing Residential Qualification requirements overall in 12 months.
  • This is a drug tested position.
Qualifications

In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below.

Qualifying Experience:
To qualify at the GG-13, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service. For this position, qualifying experience is defined as: Interpreting and analyzing legislation and DoD policy issuances to determine the need for incorporation in evaluation and oversight function, developing written plans, reports, analyses and assessments, and preparing and presenting briefings to top level management officials.

Candidates must describe how they meet the qualifying experience and/or selective placement factor(s) within the body of their resume. All qualifications must be met within 30 days after the closing date of this announcement.

Volunteer Experience: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Education

There is no substitution of education for the qualifying experienceat the GG-13 grade level.

  • This position is in the Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It is being recruited under 10 U.S.C. 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system.
  • If you are a current Federal Career/Career-Conditional employee, you will be placed on an Excepted appointment.
  • Telework availability will be based upon the mission requirements and supervisory determination.
  • May be subject to initial and random drug testing for this position, if applicable.
  • In accordance with DoD 8140 policy series, the position is subjected to completing Foundational Qualifications in 9 months, completing Residential qualification requirements in 12 months, and maintaining any future Cybersecurity Workforce qualification/credentialing requirements as defined by the DoD 8140 policy series for the position's required CYBER Work Role(s).
  • The Department of Defense (DoD) policy on employment of annuitants issued March 18, 2004 will be used in determining eligibility of annuitants.
  • This position is subject to the limitations imposed by the DOD Priority Placement Program.
  • PPP Application Based Preference Eligibles (Military Reserve and National Guard technicians, Military Reserve and National Guard technicians receiving disability retirement, and Retained Grade employees) will receive priority consideration at the full performance level only.
  • For grades below the full performance level, only MSP/PPP eligible candidates who currently occupy a formal training program position will be entitled to exercise their priority preference.
