Key Responsibilities:
· Advise on terminations for convenience or default of contracts. Individuals must have demonstrated abilities to assimilate and apply knowledge on all types of award mechanisms quickly and efficiently.
· Prepare all required documentation for award terminations, including termination notices, determinations and findings, negotiation memoranda, and settlement agreements.
· Interpret and apply applicable sections of the FAR and USAID supplemental regulations and policies.
· Process actions in USAID’s contracts and financial management system.
· Coordinate with the Office of General Counsel, technical teams, and implementing partners to manage the termination process.
· Assess financial, contractual, and programmatic implications of terminations and recommend risk mitigation strategies.
· Ensure post-termination actions, including audits, final payments, and closeouts, are completed in compliance with USAID policy.
· Develop guidance, templates, and training materials to strengthen USAID’s institutional approach to award terminations.
