Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking for you to join our team as a Test Engineer based in Salt Lake City, UT.
The Test Engineer designs, develops, and implements testing methods and equipment. Plans and arranges the labor, schedules, and equipment required for testing and evaluating standard and special devices. Provides test area with parameters for sample testing and specifies tests to be performed. Compiles data and defines changes required in testing equipment, testing procedures, manufacturing processes, or new testing requirements. Responsible for testing all customer samples and for special tests that cannot be performed in the test area.

Primary Level Salary Range: $72,100.00 - $108,100.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.

- Designs, develops, and implements testing methods and equipment.
- Develop and execute test plans for validating new suppliers.
- Provides test area with parameters for sample testing and specifies tests to be performed.
- Compiles data and defines changes required in testing equipment, testing procedures, manufacturing processes, or new testing requirements.
- Responsible for special testing requirements for all customer samples and parts
- Utilize basic electronic troubleshooting tools. DMM, oscilloscopes, power supplies, frequency generators, spectrum analyzers, and data collection.
- Analysis of test yields and trends to identify and implement improvement opportunities.
- Evaluation of new designs for proposed test methods and test coverage.
- Reading and understanding schematics, drawings, and parts lists.
- Provide recommendations and justification for new tests and equipment.

- Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related STEM discipline with a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience; OR a Master's in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related STEM field with 0 or more years of experience.
- Experience with testing or troubleshooting electronics assemblies.
- US Citizenship is required
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
Preferred Qualifications for the Test Engineer:
- Experience developing software applications.
- SAP experience.
- Experience with test plan creation.
- Experience developing test requirements.
- Experience with data analysis software (Tableau, Matlab, Python, Excel, or others).
- Experience in signal analysis.
