Summary

Chenega Integrated Security Solutions (CISS) is seeking a motivated and experienced Mid‑Level Facilities Specialist Team Lead to support a high‑profile government customer in Huntsville, AL. In this role, you will lead a small team of facility professionals while coordinating daily operations, maintenance activities, and facility support services across a dynamic government environment. The ideal candidate brings strong organizational skills, hands‑on facilities expertise, and the ability to guide and mentor staff while ensuring all requirements are met with excellence, compliance, and professionalism.

Responsibilities

What You'll Get To Do:

  • Oversee Facility Maintenance & Repairs:
    Coordinate, monitor, and manage repair and maintenance activities performed by technicians, contractors, and vendors-including building maintenance, landscaping, and janitorial services. Collaborate with senior Facility Operations Specialists to ensure all services meet O&M policy requirements.
  • Support Project Planning & Field Walkthroughs:
    Conduct project site walks with the Project Manager to identify potential issues impacting equipment access, operational requirements, and overall support needs for the O&M program.
  • Manage Moves, Additions, and Changes (MAC):
    Lead and coordinate employee seating changes, workspace adjustments, and department relocations. Partner closely with Space Management and senior Facility Operations Specialists to ensure accurate seating assignments and adherence to established space planning processes.
  • Vendor Coordination & Procurement:
    Obtain proposals and quotes for parts, materials, labor, and service needs. Verify completion of services, ensure invoice accuracy, and follow through until invoices are processed and paid in a timely manner. Seek guidance from senior specialists to ensure compliance with procurement procedures.
  • Asset Management & Preventive Maintenance Support:
    Barcode new equipment and enter asset data into the facility integration tool to support preventive maintenance scheduling and tracking.
  • Work Order Management & Reporting:
    Submit, track, and verify work order requests to ensure timely completion. Conduct monthly reviews to confirm metrics meet O&M performance parameters. Become proficient with the facility integration tool, gather monthly metrics, and support executive-level reporting on service order performance.
  • Facility Inspections & Quality Assurance:
    Perform routine facility inspections, including quality assurance reviews of preventive maintenance activities and reports. Document and escalate discrepancies or anomalies to Supervisory Facility Operations Specialists.
  • Project & Stakeholder Coordination:
    Work collaboratively with project teams, Space Management, and senior Facility Operations Specialists to ensure seamless execution of facility initiatives and adherence to established processes.


Qualifications

You'll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Minimum of two (2) years of relevant facilities, operations, or technical support experience.
  • Associate degree in a technical, engineering, architectural, or related field.
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance required at the time of application.
  • Facility management certification (e.g., CFM, FMP, IFMA, BOMI) (preferred but not required)
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and stakeholders in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear documentation and communicate effectively with government customers, contractors, and internal team members.
  • Ability to interpret technical documentation, facility drawings, and maintenance requirements.
  • Proficiency with or ability to quickly learn facility management systems, work order tools, and asset tracking platforms.
