Astraeus Operations (AO) is an SBA-certified 8(a) Small Disadvantaged Business (SBD) subsidiary of the Chenega Corporation, an Alaska Native Corporation (ANC). The Senior Web/Collaboration Administrator/Designer provides advanced support for collaboration technologies, web-based applications, and knowledge management systems (KMS) in support of SWFLANT's mission IT operations. This position is responsible for the analysis, design, implementation, and sustainment of SharePoint, intranet resources, and associated applications to enhance communication, collaboration, and workflow efficiency. The role ensures compliance with the Statement of Work (SOW), DoD cybersecurity standards, and Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) directives while delivering high-quality, mission-focused IT support.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, prepare, test, and document new COTS and SPK-specific applications prior to implementation, ensuring compatibility and compliance.
  • Fully document supported configurations, including drivers, revisions, scripts, and baseline documentation.
  • Install, configure, and sustain collaboration and application software in response to Help Desk and user requirements.
  • Support and maintain approved COTS and SWFLANT applications, including customizations and integration of business process requirements.
  • Analyze user and business application requirements; develop and implement SharePoint and web integration strategies.
  • Provide technical support for web-based applications, intranet resources, and SharePoint collaboration environments.
  • Prepare, implement, and maintain SharePoint-based Knowledge Management Systems (KMS), including policies, procedures, metadata, and taxonomy.
  • Create, update, and maintain intranet forms to support Help Desk service requests and operational tracking.
  • Research, test, and develop web-based solutions to meet emerging customer requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation to support application baselines, license tracking, and configuration management.
  • Provide training and user support for SharePoint, KMS, and collaboration systems.
  • Coordinate information-sharing initiatives, best practices, and workshops to improve collaboration and business process automation.
  • Maintain and administer SWFLANT websites, including updates, security patches, and integration of approved resources.
  • Support and maintain SharePoint sites (2010, 2016, and later versions) including content, workflows, and user access.
  • Collaborate with network and systems teams to ensure reliable operation of SQL and SharePoint services, including maintaining change logs and version histories.
  • Provide full software lifecycle (SDLC) support for collaboration tools, including documentation, implementation, and user assistance.
  • Ensure compliance with DoD, Navy, and SSP directives governing application security, configuration, and knowledge management.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in information systems, Computer Science, or related field OR equivalent combination of education and experience .
  • 4+ years of progressive experience administering and designing SharePoint, web applications, or collaboration systems in a DoD or enterprise environment.
  • Must meet DoD Cyber Workforce (CWF) requirements:
    • at a minimum level of IAT III, Per DoD 8570.01-M Work Role: DCWF Code 801, Proficiency Level: Intermediate, per DoD Directive 8140.01 and SECNAV M-5239.2. (e.g., CASP CE, CCNP, CISA or equivalent)
  • Must maintain required computing environment/operating system certifications for supported platforms (e.g., SharePoint, Microsoft Server, SQL).
  • Top Secret clearance


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Expertise in SharePoint administration, design, and customization (2010, 2016, and newer).
  • Strong experience with Knowledge Management, Business Intelligence, and Content Management best practices.
  • Ability to analyze, document, and implement user/business requirements into web-based and collaboration solutions.
  • Proficiency with COTS application integration, web administration, and intranet resource development.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, SQL Server, and IIS to support SharePoint/web solutions.
  • Ability to prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation, baselines, and licensing records.
  • Strong communication, training, and customer support skills to enable end-user adoption and effective use of collaboration tools.
  • Ability to coordinate with cross-functional IT teams (network, systems, cybersecurity) to ensure reliable and secure operation of collaboration systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to support multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and alignment of collaboration systems with evolving mission needs.
  • Ability to travel if required
