MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented NOC Network Administrator to join our innovative team in Vicksburg, MS.

Shift Requirements: This is a weekend role operating on a 24-hour cycle. The NOC Network Administrator role is essential to the weekend infrastructure support. This position requires weekend shift work across Shifts 1, 2, and 3.

Be a part of an agile team to provide the innovative, customer focused, and cost-effective integrated enterprise IT support services in support of the program vision of engineering solutions for the Nation's toughest challenges.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Maintaining and managing the IT infrastructure within the NOC to ensure the reliability and availability of network and system services.
  • Monitoring system performance, performing routine maintenance, and troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
  • Ensures that all systems are up-to-date with the latest patches and updates, maintains system backups, and manages user accounts and permissions.
  • Work closely with network engineers and other IT staff to identify and resolve system-related problems and to implement improvements.
  • Documents system configurations, changes, and incidents accurately, and provides technical support to NOC staff to ensure seamless operations.
  • Deliver world-class IT services and responsive, dependable customer support.
  • Deliver vital solutions and strengthen the IT foundation with secure, innovative, and modernized technological solutions.


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. In lieu of Bachelor's degree: Associate degree +2 years relevant experience, or 4 years relevant experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in system administration, managing and maintaining IT infrastructure within a NOC or similar environment.
  • Basic proficiency with operating systems such as Windows and Linux, as well as training or experience with virtualization technologies, system monitoring tools, and backup solutions.
  • Must maintain a 8140 IAT Lvl II certification.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and to document system configurations, changes, and incidents accurately.
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, or Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA).
  • Familiarity with ITIL practices and experience in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Demonstrates excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively, and maintains currency with industry trends and best practices.
  • Familiarity with the government agency IT environment, regulatory requirements, and IT best practices.
  • Have strong problem-solving and analytical skills and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.


Clearance Requirements:
  • Active Top Secret security clearance.


Physical Requirements:
  • The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
