The annual salary range for this position is $130,000.00-$216,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.

We are seeking a highly capable Systems Engineer - Azure/AWS to support secure, large-scale infrastructure, cloud, and platform operations across federal environments. This role is responsible for deploying, managing, and optimizing server, cloud, and virtualized systems while ensuring security, compliance, and mission continuity for critical workloads. The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on experience with Azure, AWS, hybrid infrastructure, automation, and secure enterprise operations in regulated government environments.
What You Will Do :
- Deploy, configure, secure, and maintain infrastructure solutions across Azure , AWS , and hybrid environments.
- Administer and support Windows and Linux servers across on-prem and cloud-integrated architectures.
- Implement and manage cloud services including identity, compute, storage, backups, networking, logging, and monitoring.
- Support Active Directory/Entra ID, IAM roles, SSO, multi-factor authentication, and hybrid identity integrations.
- Troubleshoot complex issues across cloud, network, virtualization, OS, and security layers.
- Implement and maintain STIG-compliant configurations, vulnerability mitigation, patching, and compliance baselines.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, system diagrams, runbooks, and operational procedures.
- Collaborate closely with cloud, security, networking, DevSecOps, and application teams to support mission needs.
- Contribute to modernization efforts including automation, infrastructure-as-code, and cloud migration strategy.
What You Will Need :
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED "TOP SECRET" Federal or DoD security clearance and ability to obtain SCI.
- Minimum of Six (6) years of experience in systems engineering, cloud infrastructure, or enterprise IT operations.
- Bachelor's degree or four(4) additional years of experience is needed in lieu of degree.
- Strong hands-on experience with Azure and/or AWS administration and deployment.
- Experience supporting secure federal, DoD, or compliance-driven environments.
- Proficiency with Windows and/or Linux server administration, virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), networking fundamentals, and monitoring tools.
- Understanding of identity management, cloud networking, automation, and secure system operations.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
What Would Be Nice To Have :
- Security+ (strongly preferred for DoD 8570 compliance)
- Network+
- Linux+
- MCSA / MCSE
- AWS Administrator or Engineer certifications
- Azure Administrator (AZ-104) or Azure Engineer (AZ-305/Expert)
- Familiarity with scripting/automation (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Ansible, ARM/Bicep, CloudFormation). Knowledge of Zero Trust principles and federal security frameworks (NIST 800-53, RMF).Experience with cloud monitoring and log analytics (Azure Monitor, CloudWatch, Log Analytics, SIEM tools).
- Experience supporting cloud and on-prem integration, VPNs, ExpressRoute/Direct Connect, and hybrid networking.
