Connsci is seeking a Senior PBS / SAP R/3 Application Support Consultant to provide maintenance and application-level support for PBS Archiving Software operating within a federal SAP environment. This consultant will serve as the primary resource responsible for PBS software support, defect analysis, SAP compatibility review, updates, and approved customizations in coordination with SAP Basis administrators and functional teams.

This role supports a mission-critical SAP R/3 and S/4HANA landscape where archiving, data lifecycle management, and system performance are operational priorities.

In this role you can expect to:

• Provide telephone and written support Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. ET, addressing user questions and analyzing reported PBS software issues.
• Accept, track, and triage error messages related to PBS Archiving Software.
• Reproduce defects in test or production environments through approved remote access and perform defect analysis and correction activities.
• Coordinate with authorized PBS vendors for escalation, updates, and maintenance-related support.
• Adapt PBS software as needed to remain compatible with new SAP R/3 General Availability (GA) releases and S/4HANA upgrades.
• Support installation and validation of vendor-provided PBS updates, including functional enhancements and corrections.
• Perform approved software changes and customizations, including ABAP-based adjustments where required.
• Work alongside SAP Basis administrators to evaluate configuration impacts and support upgrade planning.
• Assist with training and knowledge sharing related to PBS functionality and SAP data archiving processes.
• Document support activities, issue resolution steps, and configuration adjustments in alignment with change management processes.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 8 years of experience supporting SAP R/3 and/or SAP S/4HANA environments.
• At least 5 years of experience supporting SAP-integrated applications or archiving solutions.
• At least 2 years of experience with SAP Data Archiving (ADK) concepts and data lifecycle management.
• At least 2 years of experience troubleshooting application-level defects within SAP environments.
• At least 2 years of experience supporting remote access troubleshooting in federal or similarly controlled environments.
• At least 2 years of experience coordinating with functional users, Basis teams, and external software vendors.
• Ability to obtain a Public Trust

Preferred Qualifications:

• SAP Certified Development Associate (ABAP) or SAP Certified Application Associate.
• PBS product training or experience with PBS archive add-ons (e.g., PBS ContentLink or similar).
• Prior experience supporting federal agencies.
• Experience supporting third-party SAP archiving or content management add-ons.
• ABAP development and debugging experience to support software customizations.
• Experience supporting SAP upgrades and evaluating compatibility impacts on integrated applications.
• Familiarity with vendor-backed maintenance processes and structured defect tracking.
