Job Summary
KBR is seeking a highly skilled Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support the Integrated Fires Mission Command (IFMC) Logistics Directorate (MATDEV) for close collaboration with Defensive Fires-Transformation and Lessons Learned Manager (DF-TLLM) Air and Missile Defense (AMD) Sustainability Office (CAPDEV) and broader enterprise partners with a mission focus on Army Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD). In this role, the SME will engage across multiple Army platforms and processes, supporting integration of IAMD systems and future capabilities, test and evaluation events, training, fielding, life cycle sustainment planning, programming, acquisition, and operational initiatives that shape and enable the deployment of weapon systems critical to national defense. The position requires extensive collaboration with the U.S. Army Transformation and Training Command (T2COM), the Portfolio Acquisition Executive Fires (PAE Fires), the Capability Program Executive Defensive Fires (CPE DF), and additional enterprise stakeholders to ensure synchronized planning, integration, and execution across all program activities. Roles and Responsibilities
- Advise system architecture, interoperability, and integration of AIAMD components with the Integrated Battle Command System (IBCS) to ensure alignment with Army operational requirements.
- Support the development of capability requirements, conduct risk assessments, and perform capability gap analyses to inform modernization and acquisition decisions.
- Assist in planning and execution of test and evaluation events to validate system performance, interoperability, and fielding readiness.
- Support AIAMD training and fielding activities, ensuring operators and maintainers are fully prepared to employ and sustain the system.
- Collaborate with logistics teams, program managers, engineers, and military operators to ensure synchronized execution across technical, operational, and sustainment efforts.
- Develop and maintain lifecycle sustainment plans, including spare parts strategies, maintenance concepts and schedules, depot support requirements, and other sustainment artifacts in accordance with Title 10 U.S. code, Department of Defense Manuals (DoDMs), Department of Defense Instructions (DoDIs), and Army regulatory guidance.
- Provide cost effective sustainment solutions that reduce total ownership cost (TOC) and enable the Product Support Manager (PSM) to optimize life cycle resources.
- Anticipate and address logistical, fielding, and integration challenges before they impact program cost, schedule, and/or performance.
- Ensure technical accuracy of program documentation, updates, and sustainment artifacts to support audit readiness and compliance with Army policy.
- Align AIAMD fielding and sustainment activities with Army doctrine, training requirements, and operational concepts to improve system readiness.
- Support the execution of operator and maintainer training programs to enhance readiness and reduce long-term sustainment burden.
- Provide operational insights, lessons learned, and field feedback to the PSM to inform sustainment priorities, upgrades, and corrective actions.
- Reduce risk of operational failure by ensuring technical, logistical, and sustainment support align with real world mission requirements.
- Provide subject matter expertise and technical guidance to Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), ensuring systems integration, alignment with A ir Defense Artillery (ADA) mission requirements, and effective participation in design, architecture, and technical reviews across the AMD portfolio.
Basic Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Currently possess or can obtain a Secret security clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, logistics, systems management, or a related technical discipline and 10+ years of experience supporting Army AMD, AIAMD, IBCS, or equivalent Army capability.
- In lieu of formal education, must have 18 years of experience supporting Army AMD, AIAMD, IBCS, or equivalent Army capability.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in systems engineering, logistics, operations research, or a related technical discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in lifecycle logistics or product support, including sustainment planning, maintenance concepts, supply support, and depot level-level processes.
- Experience conducting requirements development, risk assessments, and capability gap analysis for Army acquisition or modernization programs.
- Experience with Army fielding processes, new equipment training/new equipment fielding (NET/NEF), readiness activities, and coordination with T2COM, DF-TLLM AMD Sustainability Office, CPE DF, and gaining units.
- Hands -on experience with test and evaluation, system integration, and interoperability verification for Army air defense systems.
- Prior experience developing or validating product support documentation (e.g., LCSPs, sustainment plans, maintenance concepts, provisioning data) across multiple IPS elements.
- Working knowledge of life cycle cost (LCC) methods, reliability/sustainability analysis, and cost benefit-benefit trade studies supporting PSM decisions.
