Northrop Grumman Defense Systems C2 & Weapons Integration Division is seeking a Mission Assurance Manager 2 to lead the IBCS OU within the Global C2 Solutions (GC2S) Business Unit. This position is ideal for a capable manager with a solid track record leading and managing quality and mission assurance teams supporting program execution.
The MA Manager will support programs within the IBCS OU including both software development and hardware design and production and will lead a high performing team responsible for delivering quality products and maintaining compliance across the organization. The MA Manager will develop and utilize measurable goals and effectiveness criteria to help ensure solid program performance and execution of the overall operating unit strategy in support of BU, division, sector and corporate objectives. Candidates are to have a proven track record of solving complex problems through systematic and objective evaluation of information resulting in effective communication, championing, and implementation of change with a diverse set of internal and external customers and suppliers. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills combined with a "can do" attitude are essential. The candidate must communicate effectively through reports, presentations, and in person.
The position is based in Huntsville, AL and may require infrequent travel to other company, government or supplier locations. The position will report directly to the GC2S BU Sr Mission Assurance Manager and will interface regularly with the OU Director and staff and OU Program and other Functional Managers and customer representatives.
The successful candidate will possess unwavering ethics and values, effective leadership and communication skills, and the ability to develop and maintain trusting partnerships with internal and external stakeholders. A strong background in quality principles, continuous improvement concepts, an ability to transform data into meaningful information for purposes of identifying trends and opportunities for improvement are basic qualifications as well as familiarity with working in a production or manufacturing environment. Candidate will have demonstrated the ability to lead and develop people, independently advocate for quality, exercise objective judgment, and drive improvements in quality and manufacturing processes and delivered products. The selected candidate will also have the ability to execute strategic objectives with little oversight, work in a team environment, and collaborate across functions at the program, OU, BU, Division and Sector levels to accomplish goals and objectives.

Primary Level Salary Range: $139,800.00 - $209,800.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Interface with customers, suppliers, and with NG Manufacturing, Integration & Test, Supplier Quality, Global Supply Chain and Engineering organizations to identify and resolve mission assurance issues.
- Apply systematic, data-driven approaches to monitor and improve the quality of processes & products. Process weaknesses and opportunities for improvement within Quality organization will be identified and implemented; recommendations will be made to the functional owner for areas outside of Quality. Process gaps will be remedied by establishing, or recommending, operating procedures/processes that will positively affect organizational performance.
- Monitoring (or developing) quality metrics, auditing against defined standards, and conducting root cause and corrective action boards, ensuring process adherence throughout the organization and across the product life cycle in accordance with NG processes and the governing Quality Management System
- Interfaces with other functional management, mission partners, and customers. Ability to build trusted relationships and work through difficult challenges with the customers.
- Provide support to program managers in review of various activities.
- Directs and coordinates quality assurance functional disciplines, including, Quality Engineering, Software Quality, Supplier Quality and Continuous Improvement per AS9100 standards and other internal/external compliance standards and regulations.
- Plans and manages the OU's Quality & Mission Assurance staffing, budget and physical assets.
- Plans and implements professional development and career management programs for MA personnel while positively influencing employee engagement.
- Provides clear assignments, helps employees connect their efforts to the bigger picture, creates an inclusive work environment characterized by mutual respect and the valuing of differences, and builds a culture that motivates employees to their highest levels of performance.
- Assures compliance in quality, risk management, safety, process improvement, sub-contractor and supplier quality in accordance with contractual requirements.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 8 years of experience in Industry; or 6 years of experience with Master's degree in an engineering, technical, business or related discipline.
- 5 years of experience in a management role
- Experience in Software and Hardware programs across program lifecycle
- Experience with Root Cause and Corrective Action Analysis, Risk Management, Quality Management Systems (AS9100), and DoD contracting activities.
- Familiarity with APQP, PPAP, AS9145 concepts and principles
- Strong communication skills, forward thinking, adaptable, ability to drive process improvements and decisive decision-making ability
- Must be able to obtain Active DoD Secret Clearance
- US Citizenship
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in a quality and/or mission assurance role
- Familiarity with First Article Inspection (FAI) procedures, AS9102, and AS6500
- Understanding of QMA's role in Northrop Grumman's business acquisition process (BAP)
- AS9100D Lead Auditor Certification
- Familiarity w NG IPRS and QAF
- Lean / Six Sigma Black Belt certification
- Familiarity with SAP including Quality Transactions
- Familiarity working with DCMA
- Familiarity with DoD and/or Aerospace quality requirements
- Agile/DevSecOps Experience
