This position will be primarily located in Falls Church, VA, however, we will consider virtual telecommuters, or candidates working at any other major NG location.

Primary Level Salary Range: $81,800.00 - $128,400.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.

Key Responsibilities
The Learning & Development Specialist, reporting to the Learning Design & Measurement Manager, applies instructional design expertise to design, develop and deploy learning solutions to address our most critical business and workforce development needs.
As the Learning & Development (L&D) Specialist, you will:
- Develop measurable learning objectives using Bloom's taxonomy and design instruction that manages cognitive load and incorporates learning frameworks
- Apply instructional design theories and learning methodologies to create impactful learning materials
- Consult on multiple L&D projects, providing thought leadership and instructional design expertise
- Develop and deliver innovative and engaging virtual and/or in-person training and development offerings, emphasizing experiential and simulation-based learning
- Collaborate with stakeholders and subject matter experts on the planning, development, implementation, and sustainment of talent development solutions
- Conduct subject matter expert interviews to collect information on high-priority skills and business outcomes
- Manage L&D projects through the full ADDIE lifecycle, including establishing goals, learning objectives and timelines
- Coordinate project meetings, track progress, and identify/address risks
- Prepare presentations and brief stakeholders at multiple levels across the organization
- Design and implement upskilling solutions that apply adult learning principles and industry best practices
- Ensure learning materials meet Universal Design for Learning principles and accessibility standards.
- Create eLearning curriculum and course assets with clear learning outcomes, storyboards, and sequenced content for optimal flow.
- Demonstrate proficiency with Articulate Storyline for interactive eLearning development.
- Build responsive, modular courses using Articulate Rise

Basic Qualifications
- 5 Years of relevant experience with Bachelors; 3 Years with Masters; 1 Year with PhD. Experience and education will be considered in lieu of the degree requirement. 4 years of additional experience is required with a HS diploma; an additional 2 years with an Associate's degree.
- Demonstrated experience developing, leading and assessing learning and development
- Demonstrated experience in instructional design models, technology and leveraging learning theories
- Demonstrated experience collaborating across organizational boundaries and influencing stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
- Worked in/around the technical & functional domains we support (e.g., Systems Engineering, Software, Manufacturing, Program Management, Business Development)
- Experience with eLearning authoring tools (e.g., Adobe Captivate/Articulate Storyline)
- Experience with Learning Management System
- Experience using Kirkpatrick's Evaluation Model
- Experience performing LMS administration tasks, including user provisioning, role assignments, enrollment automation, reporting, and analytics dashboards
