Description:
You will be the Configuration Management Engineer for the Product Configuration & Change Management team. Our team safeguards product baselines, drives engineering change execution, and delivers accurate configuration data across engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain partners.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Configuration Management Engineer you will be responsible for analyzing design modifications, authorizing change orders, and maintaining configuration status accounting throughout the product lifecycle. You'll act as the central liaison that ensures every hardware and software build reflects the latest approved engineering baseline.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Analyze proposed product design changes and assess impact on system baselines.
• Create, track, and close modification records and change orders for both internal teams and subcontractors.
• Prepare clear, concise change impact reports for management and customers.
• Review released engineering change data and coordinate its implementation with engineering, quality, manufacturing, and data control groups.
• Verify that all customer driven requirements are fully incorporated and that change accounting complies with configuration management policies.
• Design, develop, and automate productivity tools or databases that support evolving program and customer needs.
• Perform Configuration Status Accounting (CSA) using appropriate tools and inspections to confirm serialization and configuration requirements are met before hardware release.
• Conduct status accounting activities to align engineering designs with actual hardware/software during build, ensuring builds follow the current configuration.
• Generate and maintain serial/lot record sheets, entering data into the central database and preserving identification records for every serialized item.
• Input engineering changes into the central repository and keep the database current.
• Facilitate coordinated efforts among Manufacturing, Procurement, and Quality to meet program schedules and deliver timely, documented engineering changes.
• Serve as the liaison for as built configurations and serialization, representing the team in Configuration Change Board meetings.
• Track open change items, follow up on implementation status, and close out change records promptly.
• Manage multiple tasks independently while thriving in a collaborative, team oriented environment.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must possess a current Final Secret security clearance.
Basic Qualifications:
-Active Secret Clearance with 5-year background investigation.
- Must have experience using Configuration Status Accounting tools.
-Experience writing processes and procedures.
- Must have Configuration Change Board (CCB) understanding including implementation activities.
- Experience in reading and releasing engineering drawings and documentation including bills of material.
- Proven ability in processing CDRLs in accordance with the Contract Statement of work, 1423s, and DD250s, and in accordance with the applicable Industry Standards.
- Experience with serialization of hardware and Item Unique Identification standards.
- Advance experience with Microsoft Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access): including designing, developing, automating, and maintaining Access and Excel databases.
-Familiarity with markings, formatting and handling of documentation.
-Possess strong written and oral communication skills.
-Bachelors or Master's Degree from an accredited university and 3 years or additional professional experience in lieu of Bachelor's Degree.
Desired Skills:
Develops solutions to assigned technical problems of limited scope which require ingenuity and innovation.
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills across diverse technical and business personnel.
- Experience with CM of hardware/software.
- Knowledge of and experience in the Logistics and Sustainment Engineering efforts of a Missile program.
- Experience with Product Data Management tools.
