Description:You will be the Low Observable/Structural Technician, F-22 - Level 4 for the Low Observable Structures team which is responsible for supporting the F-22 modification, repair, overhaul, and low observable aircraft production lines at Langley AFB, Virginia.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Low Observable/Structural Technician, F-22 - Level 4 you will be responsible for delivering precise structural work on the F-22 fleet while collaborating with engineering and production teams.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Interpret F-22 engineering drawings, technical manuals, and repair manuals to locate aircraft structures and guide repair actions.
- Operate precision measuring instruments and a variety of hand- and power-tools (drills, angle motors, pneumatic riveters, etc.) to fabricate, assemble, and bond aircraft components.
- Perform low-observable/SAS maintenance, including fabrication of shims, brackets, plates, and execution of sanding, drilling, riveting, painting, and fitting tasks.
- Record data, procedural information, and create improvised shop aids to ensure repeatable, high-quality work.
- Maintain a safe, clean, FOD-free work environment while adhering to all security and citizenship requirements.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must have an Interim Secret Clearance prior to starting and the ability to obtain a Final Secret.
Physical Demands:
This position may include certain required health screenings and immunizations. Regularly required to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive movements, work overhead, use hands to grasp, handle, and/or feel, reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl, and twist.
Basic Qualifications:
- 5th Generation Fighter Aircraft Sheet Metal Experience, and or Low Observable Coatings application experience and training, 5 or 7 Skill level USAF AFSC, Navy NEC, or Marine MOS discipline rating or an equivalent Air frame and Power Plant, FAA certificate or equivalent 7 years experience
Desired Skills:
- F-18/F-15/F-22/F-35 Experience Low Observable Coatings application experience and training
- Corrosion Control application experience and training,
Knowledgeable of Tool Control, FOD, Supply, HAZMAT, Training, Quality, and Security programs
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
