Position Overview:
We are seeking experienced L2 Onsite Engineers to support a short-term, high-visibility hardware modification project. This is a six-week engagement requiring full-time onsite support. Selected resources will operate as part of a travel team, supporting three designated locations.
The primary objective of this role is to perform hardware-level modifications on Dell laptop systems, specifically removing camera and microphone modules in accordance with project requirements. Phase 1 includes 1,000 units, with the full project scope totaling 6,000 units.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform physical removal of camera and microphone modules from designated Dell laptop models.
- Support modification efforts across three assigned locations as part of a mobile technical team.
- Handle, track, and process approximately 1,000 devices during Phase 1, with scalability for additional project phases.
- Ensure all hardware modifications are completed in compliance with security and technical guidelines.
- Maintain proper documentation of completed work and inventory tracking.
- Follow established safety and security protocols when handling equipment.
- Collaborate with project leads and onsite stakeholders to ensure timely project completion.

Required Qualifications:
- Active Secret Clearance (required).
- Hands-on experience with laptop hardware disassembly and reassembly.

- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical procedures.
- Ability to travel between multiple sites during the project duration.
- Professional demeanor and ability to work effectively in secure environments.
- Ability to lift and handle IT equipment as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in large-scale device refresh or modification projects.
- Experience working in secure or government environments.
- L2 desktop support or hardware technician experience.
