The ideal candidate will play a critical role in implementing and managing secure cloud infrastructure solutions using AWS/Azure services, as well as support key AI and machine learning initiatives for the customer.

The Senior DevOps Engineer, having AWS, Terraform, and AI/ML knowledge, will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing secure cloud-based solutions while ensuring best security practices are followed. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Designing and implementing secure cloud infrastructure solutions on AWS
- Implementing security policies and best practices for cloud-based applications
- Collaborating with development teams to integrate security into the CI/CD pipeline
- Monitoring systems for security vulnerabilities and conducting regular security audits
- Engaging in incident response activities and addressing security issues promptly
- Automating security processes and configuration management
- Implementing and managing AWS/Azure services and resources
- Support AI/ML workloads by designing and operating AWS-based data and model infrastructure
- As needed, build and manage platforms leveraging services such as SageMaker and Bedrock
- Partner with data science and product teams, as appropriate, to deliver Production-ready AI solutions
- Implement governance, security, and cost controls for AI workloads
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure security and compliance requirements are met
Education and Experience:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field from an accredited college or university
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps engineering with a focus on security
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer
- Experience with implementing security controls in cloud environments
Required Skills and Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of AWS services and hands-on experience with AWS cloud infrastructure
- Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell
- Understanding of security best practices and common security threats
- Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience supporting data platforms or AI/ML workloads in Production
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Desired Skills and Competencies:
- Experience working in a federal government IT environment
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks such as FedRAMP, FISMA, or NIST
- Experience with security assessment tools and vulnerability scanning
- Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with AI/ML platforms (SageMaker, Bedrock, custom ML pipelines)
- Experience supporting LLM-based applications or model inference workloads
- Familiarity with MLOps concepts
- AWS Certified Security - Specialty certification
- Experience with security incident response and forensics
