Typical Duties
- Serves as the supervisor for Product Support (integrated logistics support), and Technical Data Management (drafting, drawing development/maintenance, etc.) functions on the Western Range.
- Provides Data Management (CM/DM) related technical judgment and leadership, being highly proactive, and knowledgeable in processes across the functional areas supported by the DM Department.
- Provides staff direction with an understanding and following of established department/company policies and procedures ensuring a high standard of professional excellence is maintained among staff members.
- Interfaces with internal and external customers, coordinating process and product reviews, establishment and maintenance of product baselines, and the review and release of engineering work products
- Responsible for proposal preparation, basis of estimate generation and personnel resource management.
- Establishes and implements short- and long-term strategies to deliver services to customers within reasonable schedules and budgets.
- Establishes and communicates goals and objectives, defines methodologies, tasks, and activities, and clearly describes roles and responsibilities for performing to personnel. Communicates broadly to help ensure overall coordination for cross-functional teams.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, Engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of five (5) years of Engineering or relevant experience to include Data Management experience; Experience in a DoD environment preferred.
- At least three (3) years' experience in a supervisory or management capacity.
- Ability to establish and maintain highly effective internal and external working relationships including interfacing with employees, management, vendors and government personnel
- Demonstrated skills in leadership, process improvement, people management, project management, presentation skills and strategic decision-making
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to use own judgment and initiative in problem resolution
- Understanding of Data Management disciplines
- Knowledge of PDM/PLM tools and Source Control tools
- Experience supporting the Launch Test Range Systems Integrated Support Contract (LISC) preferred
- Ability to travel 10%
- Must be flexible to work occasional non-duty hours or on weekends to support specific project requirements
- Valid U.S. Driver's License required
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Government Clearance.
- Note: U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.
Salary and Other Compensation
- The annual starting salary for this position is between $95,000 - $125,000 annually. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. Salary determined by Collective Bargaining Agreement.
