Functional Analyst opportunity with SOC's client to work onsite at Scott Air Force Base.
*Candidates must have an active Secret Clearance to be considered for this role.
Responsibilities

Analysts lead with preparation and clarity, facilitate structured decision-making forums, and ensure requirements are governed, documented, and traceable from operational need through delivery. The focus is on predictable execution, transparency, and stewardship of government resources.
Key Responsibilities
· Analyze financial user needs and translate them into clear, well-structured functional requirements supporting JTMS capabilities.
· Elicit, document, and manage financial requirements through interviews, workshops, and Working Integrated Process Teams (WIPTs) with Service, Agency, and functional stakeholders.
· Support functional requirements management activities, including requirements validation, prioritization, decomposition, and traceability using Government-designated tools.
· Assist in defining financial functional requirements and translating validated needs into inputs suitable for technical requirements development and ERP implementation.
· Support backlog refinement by developing and maintaining financial epics, features, and user stories aligned with agile delivery methods.
· Analyze Notices of Findings and Recommendations (NFRs), Corrective Action Plans (CAPs), and financial artifacts to identify opportunities to address audit findings within JTMS functionality.
· Support requirements reviews, Requirements Review Boards (RRBs), Configuration Control Boards (CCBs), and other governance forums by preparing agendas, documentation, and recommendations.
· Maintain a financial requirements library, traceability matrices, use cases, and process models to ensure alignment with business rules, funds control, and line-of-accounting validation.
· Collaborate with program management, systems engineering, cybersecurity, and architecture teams to assess impacts of financial requirements on design, integration, and audit readiness.
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business, Information Systems, or a related field.
· 5+ years of experience supporting financial or business functional requirements in DoD IT programs.
· Working knowledge of DoD financial management concepts, funds control, line-of-accounting validation, and audit readiness.
· Experience eliciting and documenting requirements using structured methodologies and Government-provided requirements management tools.
· Experience supporting or working within agile or hybrid agile environments.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience briefing senior leaders and facilitating stakeholder meetings.
Desired Qualifications
· SAFe or agile-related training or certification (e.g., SAFe Agilist, Product Owner/Product Manager).
· Experience supporting ERP or large-scale business systems within the DoD.
· Familiarity with JDDE, USTRANSCOM, DFAS, or Service-level financial processes.
· Experience supporting audit remediation efforts, internal controls, or financial compliance initiatives.
