Target Salary Range: $112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.

Specifically, we are looking for aTS/SCI cleared SATCOM Specialist (NE) - SME to support this mission at MacDill Air Force Base, Florida.
Responsibilities:
As a SATCOM Specialist (NE) - SME, you will provide technical and management leadership for all equipment and information support functions across the Task Order. Your responsibilities include:
- Provides strategic leadership for defining the overarching vision, policies, and architectural standards for C2ISR SATCOM Network Engineering Support across the entire enterprise. Leads activities to transition to modernize engineering practices, digital engineering frameworks, and emerging mission systems technologies
- Establishes enterprise-level goals and long-range strategic plans for the development and optimization of SATCOM communication infrastructure, ensuring robust, resilient, and secure connectivity for C2ISR missions globally.
- Serves as the principal authority on complex SATCOM network architecture, advanced waveform technologies, interference mitigation techniques, and integration of diverse satellite constellations (e.g., multi-orbit, multi-band) into a unified C2ISR network.
- Directs and controls all SATCOM network engineering initiatives, holding ultimate responsibility for strategic planning, resource allocation, and process methodologies to support C2ISR infrastructure deployment programs. Provides training on integrated C2ISR workflows, data flows, and cross-platform dependencies
- Leverages deep domain and expert technical knowledge to conduct comprehensive SATCOM network architectural reviews, develop advanced mitigation strategies for network vulnerabilities (e.g., cyber vulnerabilities in ground segment equipment), and integrate innovative, proactive engineering solutions.
- Engages in high-level client negotiations and strategic interfacing with senior management, shaping SATCOM network policies, resource allocation, and technical standards with critical impact on C2ISR mission effectiveness and global operational readiness, particularly for AFSOC SATCOM assets and ground-based gateways.
- Utilize the following Role Specific Tools: EA frameworks (DoDAF, TOGAF, Digital Engineering); IaC (RH AAP, Helm, Rancher Fleet); system modeling (Cameo, Sparx, System Architect, Jira, wiki); requirements management (DOORS, Jama Connect); configuration management (Ansible, Terraform, CMDB);; service desk and ticketing (ServiceNow); network diagramming (Visio, Lucidchart); routing protocol simulators (BGP/MBGP/MSDP/BFD labs); cloud orchestration tools (Azure Arc, AWS Console, milCloud 2.0,, Grizzly Cloud 2.0,); SATCOM monitoring (L3 Harris SRVT, ViaSat portals); latency measurement (Wireshark, TS Reader); backup and disaster recovery (Veeam, Commvault).Elastic Stack, ACAS
Qualifications
Required qualifications:
- Previous experience as a SATCOM Specialist (NE) or similar role supporting a DoD customer at the CCMD level; Minimum of 12 years' experience with a BS/BA degree or 10 years' experience with a MS/MA or 7 years' experience with a Ph.D.
- A current, active DoD security clearance at the TS/SCI level
- US citizenship is required
- DoD 8140 role for WRC: 441; Element: IT; Work Role: Network Operations Specialist; Proficiency Level: Advanced / Ability to obtain
- DoD-approved IA baseline certification for ADP-III/IT-III based on the IAT level and CE/Operating System (OS) certificate within six months of the assignment.

- On-site expectations: Full-time on-site presence required for equipment management and asset tracking
- Travel:May require occasional travel to CONUS and OCONUS sites for logistics coordination and facility assessments
