As the Senior Installation Specialist supprting the CIWS program, you will be part of a dynamic team supporting our U.S. Navy Ships with equipment, and C5ISR system installations located in the beautiful surroundings in Chesapeake, Virginia. You will also be part of a team that works closely with the customer and other Serco teams to deliver quality systems. The team has been recognized by the customers for their outstanding contributions to several contracts and programs

The Installation Specialist will be supporting the buildup and modernization of facilities the United States. In this role, you will:
- Be responsible for installing various equipment, machinery, and computer systems for the U.S. Navy Ships.
- Install, service, and repair major components for the ships.
- Manage fabrication and assembly of various electromechanical and electronic assemblies within the team
- Review and follow blueprints, guidelines, and/or diagrams to completed and successful tasks within in deadlines.
- Effectively multi-task and thrive in a fast-pace dynamic production environment.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Ability to obtain and maintain an active DoD Secret Clearance.
- A High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability obtain and gain access to shipyards (NAVSTA & DBIDS), undergo a background investigation and pass a drug screening.
- 10 years of experience in CIWS Installations or similar/related experience.
- 10 years direct shipboard installation experience or similar/related experience.
- 8 years as a Shipboard Installations Supervisor or similar/related experience.
- Ability to work any shift/designated hours required.
- Ability to work in high heat spaces and climb shipyard dry dock stairs/ladders.
- Proficient computer skills in MS Office products to use and create spreadsheets, reports, etc.
- The ability to travel 25% as needed.
Additional desired skills and experience:
- 6 years of experience serving in the U.S. Navy.
- An active or current DoD Secret Clearance.
- OSHA Certification.
