Position Description & Qualifications

As the Experienced Administrative Assistant in Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, you will perform a variety of complex and confidential administrative duties such as typing correspondence, generating reports, and maintaining computer-based and paper files and coordinate, schedule, and perform special tasks.

Serco provides high-level administrative and operational support to the Mission Command Training Program (MCTP) at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas.

In this role, you will:

  • Serve as the primary administrative support for MCTP Program Managers Office for Part-Time on Call staff, assisting with scheduling, correspondence, and document management.
  • Prepare, edit, and format official documents, reports, and presentations in accordance with Army and Serco standards.
  • Resolve complicated and sensitive questions and problems.
  • Be familiar with a variety of the field`s concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Works under limited supervision. Typically, reports to a supervisor or manager. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
  • Coordinate meetings, training events, travel arrangements, and Warfighter Exercise Accounts for MCTP Part-Time on Call personnel.
  • Manage calendars, track project timelines, and ensure task completion within established deadlines.
  • Maintain filing systems (both electronic and physical) to ensure compliance with organizational policies and security guidelines.
  • Support onboarding, training, and administrative orientation for new Part-Time contractors.
  • Serve as a point of contact for internal and external communications, ensuring prompt and professional responses.
  • Assist with budget tracking, expense reports, and other financial documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with all Serco and U.S. Army administrative processes and records management requirements.


To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Active or Current Secret clearance.
  • US Citizenship.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 5 years of progressively responsible administrative support experience, preferably in a government or military environment or similar/related experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Familiarity with Exercise Planning Travel Management System (EPTMS).
  • Ability to work under limited supervision.
  • Ability to handle sensitive or classified information with discretion.
