We are seeking a Design Engineer 3 to join our Security and Electronic Systems (SES) business Unit in Stuttgart, Germany. As part of (SES) Strategic Business Unit you will be part of a team that designs, engineers, integrates, operates and maintains electronic security services inclusive of intrusion detection, access control, biometric authentication, video surveillance, audio visual, it systems, perimeter defense and command and control systems for federal, local and commercial customers across high-growth markets.
Responsibilities
This position is responsible systems engineering at all design levels for Access Control System, Intrusion Detection Systems, and Video Surveillance Systems, including system monitoring, programming, reporting, troubleshooting, etc. Interface with management, customers, tenants, technicians, and alarm monitoring staff to answer inquiries, provide status reports, and resolve issues. A few of the main systems to provide systems engineering support for are as follows: Lenel OnGuard, Hirsch/Identiv Velocity, Software House (C-CURE 9000), Milestone Systems, Bosch Video Management System (BVMS), Cisco, Microsoft, and VMware.
In this role you will be responsible for developing, integrating, testing, and assisting in calls relating to workstations, software, servers, communications, badging, alarm monitoring.

In this role you will be responsible for developing, integrating, testing, and assisting in calls relating to workstations, software, servers, communications, badging, alarm monitoring.
Responsibilities:
- Design and Installation of existing systems, installation of new systems, and proactive initiatives.
- Performing device programming and configuration changes requested by the client.
- Performing daily enterprise system checks and status checking of communication links.
- Documenting Service Requests in ticketing system and ensuring tickets are closed as issues are resolved.
- Assisting in calls relating to workstations, software, servers, communications, badging, alarm monitoring, etc.
- Telephone and service desk support of technicians, system operational staff, and customers.
- Providing initial diagnostic troubleshooting and determining root cause of simple network and systems problems.
- Performing backups of databases.
- Performing daily archiving of events, alarm acknowledgements, and user transactions.
Qualifications

Education:
- Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical, or a Related Engineering Discipline or Information Technology degree.
- Master's Degree and 3+ Years of experience preferred or
- Bachelor's Degree and 5+ Years of experience required
Required Progressive Experience:
- Interested and willing to complete training/study for certification in relevant systems such as Lenel OnGuard, Hirsch/Identiv Velocity, Software House (C-CURE 9000), Milestone Systems, Bosch Video Management System (BVMS), Cisco, Microsoft, and VMware, and in accordance with DoD Manual DoD 8140.03 in Security+ and/or CASP and/or CISSP within 6 - 12 months of date of hire.
- Ability to multi-task, pay close attention to detail, stay alert and focused, and coordinate and manage electronic security equipment
- Possess excellent organizational and file management skills and the ability to plan and execute administrative work with little supervision
Desired Skills:
- Strong Oral, Written and Presentation Skills.
- Demonstrated background working with multidisciplinary teams.
- Demonstrated time management and organization skills to meet deadlines and quality objectives.
- Strong MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint Skills is a plus.
- Strong in design software such as AutoCAD and/or Revit.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% of the time.
