Overview
The Junior Analyst supports Commander, Naval Air Forces (CNAF) CVN Readiness Operations by assisting with readiness reporting, maintenance data analysis, engineering documentation support, and information management functions that contribute to aircraft carrier mission capability and operational readiness. Working in support of Readiness Operations Center (ROC) initiatives, the Junior Analyst provides analytical, administrative, and technical support to ensure accurate reporting, data integrity, and timely dissemination of readiness information across maintenance, logistics, modernization, and damage control program areas. The role contributes to data-driven decision-making processes supporting the Optimized Fleet Response Plan (OFRP) and Global Maritime Response Plan (GMRP) readiness requirements.
Responsibilities
• Assist in collecting, reviewing, and analyzing maintenance, logistics, and readiness data from Navy readiness systems including CSMP, CASREP, MFOM, DRRS-N, INSURV, OaRS, inspection reports, and related databases.
• Prepare statistical, graphical, and narrative reports summarizing equipment reliability, maintenance trends, readiness indicators, and program performance metrics.
• Support readiness operations by maintaining internal tracking reports related to training, logistics, manning, HM&E systems, combat systems availability, and modernization or repair activities.
• Assist engineering and program management staff in preparing technical documentation, engineering reports, statements of work, and readiness reporting packages.
• Maintain databases, spreadsheets, and information repositories used to track program requirements, readiness metrics, inspection actions, and engineering documentation.
• Provide document control support including assignment of engineering document numbers, file organization, and records management in accordance with prescribed Navy and program procedures.
• Assist in coordination and preparation activities supporting Inspection, Certification, Assessment, and Verification (ICAV) events and other readiness assessments.
• Support SharePoint administration, knowledge management functions, and maintenance of collaborative document repositories.
• Perform Information Assurance Manager (IAM) support duties including assisting with user account administration, security compliance activities, and implementation of information assurance policies and disaster recovery procedures in accordance with DoD and DON guidance.
• Support preparation of weekly summaries, monthly readiness reports, and executive-level briefings derived from program data analysis.
• Provide administrative and technical support to readiness, modernization, integrated logistics support (ILS), repair execution, and damage control program initiatives as assigned.
Qualifications
• Minimum five (5) years of experience supporting maintenance, readiness, logistics, engineering, or program analysis functions within Navy, DoD, or comparable large technical programs.
• Experience collecting, reviewing, and analyzing maintenance and readiness data from systems such as CSMP, CASREP, MFOM, DRRS-N, INSURV, OaRS, NDE, inspection reports, and related readiness reporting systems.
• Demonstrated experience supporting or coordinating Inspection, Certification, Assessment, and Verification (ICAV) events or similar readiness assessment activities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel, including data entry, workbook navigation, formula development, and preparation of charts and graphical summaries.
• Experience preparing technical, statistical, and administrative reports with strong attention to formatting accuracy, grammar, and document quality control.
• Knowledge of database management, document control practices, and SharePoint or similar knowledge-management systems.
• Familiarity with DoD/DON information assurance policies and procedures and experience supporting user account management or IAM-related functions preferred.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments and meet established reporting timelines.
• Active Secret clearance (or ability to obtain and maintain) preferred/required (as applicable to the proposal).
