B-1 Airworthiness Engineer

Program Summary:
KBR is seeking an experienced Aircraft Airworthiness Engineer to support the B-1 System Program Office located at Tinker Airforce Base. Candidate will assist Lead Engineers in the development of airworthiness plans for change control review including assembling airworthiness change packages, ensuring completeness and clarity prior to championing the change through airworthiness validation coordination. Candidate will maintain knowledge and status of all changes requiring airworthiness review and will proactively manage efficient flow through the approval process including identifying to the Engineering Section Chief any gaps in availability of Subject Matter Experts. Candidate shall maintain current status and projected next planned event of all active AW packages and ensure proper handling of all airworthiness-related artifacts (AWP, AWAR, CB, CR, MFR, MTC, Clearance memos, Compliance Artifacts, forms, and any other support materials and artifacts) from creation to archive. Candidate will provide B-1 specific support for airworthiness guidance, processes, and templates in weapon systems development, integration, obsolescence and modernization efforts. Perform other duties as assigned by management including administrative and technical tasks.
Requirements/Qualifications:
Knowledge of Airworthiness requirements of Aircraft weapons, structures, mechanical and electrical systems.
Effective communication skills, strong technical communication skills and a readiness to explain complex technical issues.
Strong organizational skills
Bachelor Degree in Aerospace Engineering or related discipline and 10+ years of directly related experience
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with B-1 specific Flight Control, Electrical, Mechanical and Weapons systems.
Clearance: Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
