Northrop Grumman has an immediate employment opportunity available for a motivated Field Technician 4 supporting a dedicated Field Engineering organization in Ventura, California.
What You'll Get to Do:
The Field Technician 4 will perform a wide variety of tasks supporting the design, fabrication, prototyping, testing, integrations, installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of specialty marine and engineering systems.

Primary Level Salary Range: $79,100.00 - $131,900.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.

What You'll Get to Do:

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Perform daily maintenance and fabrication tasks on a wide variety of mechanical and electro-mechanical systems utilizing equipment such as hand tool, mechanical and electrical fabrication tools
- Perform testing of systems using applicable test benches, meters, gauges, dynamometers, and other tools as applicable.
- Performs hands-on troubleshooting and corrective maintenance, to include fault isolation
- Write documentation for production and maintenance procedures.
- The employee may be asked to work other than regular working hours (may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays while on travel).
- Maintains effective customer communications and relations. May provide onsite training of customer support personnel.
Basic Qualifications for Field Technician 4:
- HS Diploma and a minimum of 6 years related experience.
- 4 years of experience in a Mechanical/Electro-Mechanical Environment.
- 1 year of experience with pneumatic and hydraulic system operation and repair
- Must have a current/active Top Secret clearance with ability to obtain SCI eligibility. Active Top Secret Clearance required to start. Must be able to maintain Top Secret/SCI clearance level for continued employment.
- Must be able to perform physically demanding work, to include working in tight, restricted access spaces.
- Must have experience with the interpretation of technical data, schematics, blueprints, and Standard operating procedures (SOPs) materials.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a respective trade with experience in operating and maintaining equipment in a marine environment.
- Effective verbal and written communication.
- Experience with welding to include TIG (GTAW), MIG (GMAW), ARC (SMAW)
- Experience with soldering and electrical fabrication
- Active Top Secret Clearance with current SCI eligibility
- Experience with fabrication equipment such as mills, drill and grinders
- Forklift Operator experience
- Experience with painting marine equipment or equivalent
- Willing to travel up to 10% as needed. (CONUS or OCONUS)
